The only reason why the Canes won the Cup last year was because Brind'Amour is friends with the on-ice officials. You take a look at the face-offs against the Oilers and you'll see that one foot is on the other side of the dot BEFORE the ref drops the puck. That's called cheating, kids.

I hope they do to. And i aint gonna count them out but, it isnt lookin to good for them. What they need is to become more of a team. Get a good back up goalie. And work on their offence. They game i went to tuesday night, over half the game was spent on the canes side of the ice. They should have been down there near Gerber, plus it would really help if they wouldnt cause so many penalties either.

The Canes are a injury or two away from not making the playoffs .A very fragile team dept-wise and need to be firing on all cylinders to have a chance. Last year was one of those scenarios.

We've got a really great group of guys this year, but as Peter L. said, "we've got to get out of this rut..." We've got to get our game together, cause when we're on our game, we're really really good. So if we can pull things together, I'd say that we will at least make a good run into the playoffs... But I really really wish we'd win it again. :)

last year they were great, this yr, not so much. id say theres a 1 in 100 chance so no. and i hope they dont. i hope the leafs do GO LEAFS GO. but i say either anaheim or buffalo will.

I wouldn't count them out, but they need another defenseman and more consistent goaltending from Ward to even think about repeating. I like their forwards.
