bunch of golfers bragging about their golf game and how far they could drive a ball. A "not so good" golfer was in the group and bet them that he could hit a golf ball, on a straight (no obstaclel, no hills) over 350 yards maybe even more. They all said no way and took the bet. He told them he'd call them the day before he was going to do this and where. On a VERY cold day (had been real cold for days) he called them and told them to meet him at a near by lake. When they all got there he stepped out on the glass like ice, took a three iron and hit the ball. It skid along the ice forever!!! When making the bet, he didn't say when or where he would do this All was legal. Bet won!l

I am hitting my 3-iron around 180-200 yards from the tee box very consistant straight or playing a draw, i had a problem slicing the ball but solved it by practicing swinging with only my left hand to get the motion of turning my wrist and not going up and down, I am a right hand hitter. 2 things are wrong with my woods generally, hit the ground first before the ball, and a slight fade to the right not nearlly as much as a slice, even if i set up to hit a draw which i can do nearly every time now with my irons

Sure shes a great talent..hits the ball a mile..but shouldn't she be developing her game and learning to win playing against the ladies on the LPGA tour or should she really be wasting her time trying to play with the "big boys" on the PGA tour. She hasn't been close to making a cut on the PGA tour but she's had great showings on the ladies tour....isnt that where she should be focusing her time and energies?...I feel that her management team is leading her in the wrong direction. She'll never be a force on the PGA tour but could certainly dominate the LPGA. What are you thoughts?

I am buying some winter golfing gloves for a friend for Xmas but I haven't got a clue where to start! I don't want to spend too much money but they need to be very good quality.

Golf Digest's Hot List, their reviews of the new clubs and balls, is scheduled to arrive in January. Last year, it was the March or April issue.

Not many new clubs have came out for them to make a whole Hot List on.

Who else thinks that they should wait 'till all the major companies have their line of 2007 products?

Am I hurting the three boxes of balls that I bought last month by leaving them in my (enclosed) garage, even though it is unheated and gets a little cold in there (not freezing or anything, just much colder than the heated parts of the house)?

i have been experiencing some problems with my golf swing.....i believe that it is a result to a misturn in my hips..i think i dont turn them enough becuase i thought that a minimum hip turn with good upper body turn would maximize power. i realized i was mistaken so i tried to fix it but now i think i over turn to the point where it can be considered almost a reverse pivot.

how much turn is right...if you could describe it...

thank you
