I am a handicap 22. There are times I make a very good drive with an easy 7 or 8 iron to the green. But when I know its an important shot I all of a sudden hit the ball to my left. Friends tell me I was hitting my irons with my right hand with a loop which I think is what you call casting. How do I prevent this. What should my thought process be. Thanks

Im joining the golf team at my highschool next year. And I want to start practicing with some larger clubs. But im still growing. Should I just wait until next year to get new clubs?

I have this problem with every club in my bag, that a start my release to early closing my club face on the ball causing it to hook 30 yards! Does anyone have a drill or something that can help me with this.

recently I played golf for the first time at a local course. I have actually played golf before but I am left handed but had to play right handed. I played left hand and shot 70 on a 18 hole course.My first drive was stright down the middle of the green for 250yards.So for the first time am I overeacting ? Or should I try this golf thing a little more. Any advice would be great.

I'm looking to by a new golf club set. I have found some I like on eBay but i dont believe the fact that the current bid is only 1cent and it ends in one day. Has any one ever bought good golf clubs for less than $100 on ebay?

My handicap is an 8.8 as of right now and it is getting lower. I am a teenager that is still going to grow and get stronger. Right now in my bag i have a Callaway X460 10 degrees, Titleist 904F 15 and 17 degree both with ys-6 shaft. Cobra 3100 irons 3-PW. Titleist Vokey 56 degree spin milled and I only have 13 clubs in my bag. Which I want the full 14 in case I need a club for a couple of shots. But the problem is I do not know what other club I should get in my bag. Any suggestions will help with some reasoning behing them. If possible tell me why. Thanks.

Suppose your playing golf with your group. On one of the par 3 holes a prize is offered for the second shot closest to the pin. You hit your drive onto the green, which you have never done before, and your putt ends up 15 inches from the hole. You are denied the price and are told it is because you did not have a second shot to the green. Your second was a putt, not a shot! Is it not the same thing?

I'm really disappointed by golfing apparel. It's expensive and not always well made well, nor designed well. To quote the Michael Caine film, The Italian Job, "Please shorten the sleeves. I'm not a gorilla."

So, unless someone can point me in the direction of some cool t-shirts/polo necks/sweatshirts, I'm going to custom order my own fakes.

Can you suggest a cool golfing slogan to put across the back?

I know a little about golf, since most of family plays, but I was talking to a coworker the other day and someone made a joke about slicing the ball, then my coworker said he doesn't slice, he draws. I had no idea what he was talking about. Is a draw shot a good or bad thing?

I played golf religiously until about 10 years ago. At the time I stopped I was a low handicapper and was confident in using all my clubs. I had to stop playing due to health problems but have now decided to get back into it. I purchased a new 460cc driver knowing it would take practice but thus far all my drives are flying off right horrendously.

My grip is fine and I believe the regular flex shaft I have is ok for me. I have slowed my swing down and moved the ball further forward in my stance, I've made my swing steeper but still I slice it.

I'm fine hitting my irons, although not hitting as far as I used to, it seems I have retained some consistency.

Any ideas before i fork out for a few lessons?
