I'm looking to by a new golf club set. I have found some I like on eBay but i dont believe the fact that the current bid is only 1cent and it ends in one day. Has any one ever bought good golf clubs for less than $100 on ebay?

I buy golf equipment on ebay all the time, and I am yet to have a problem. The best way to make sure that the stuff is legit is to carefully read the description and to buy from an ebay store, such as RockBottomGolf or GPPGolf, or from a seller with feedback no lower than 96%. These sellers are very reliable, although I personally bought many items from ordinary people and have always had my needs met.

In the end, if you know how to use ebay, and can hunt for the good deals, you will save a lot of money for the same product as the pro shops.

If you tell me the item # (top right of item page) I can check it out for you and give you some feedback.

Check the "advanced search" option on eBay and then check out the completed listings for similar golf clubs to the ones you want to bid on. This will tell you what the normal price is for clubs being sold. A lot of what is sold on eBay is about being in the right place at the right time. There is a high turnover of golf clubs on eBay. People will buy the latest thing and use it for a year, then sell it so that they can get something even newer. So it's definitely possible to get a good set of clubs at a pretty reasonable price.

Only 38% percent of golfers have bought anything golf related over the internet. That is a proven fact through Golf Digest. I buy a lot of stuff through ebay. What happens is first couple days nothing happens. The last 2 days it goes up a little over half of what it will end up selling for. The last 2 hours is the other half. The reality of buying it on ebay is as real as it gets. All of the stuff is real as shown. But make sure you try out a similar club to see if that is what you really want becuase some sellers will not take returns.
Hope this helps.

Are you looking to buy just a set of irons, or a complete starter set?

I've purchased a lot of clubs on eBay, and have never had problems. However, golf clubs are a huge market and chances are, any decent club won't end anywhere near a penny. People constantly bid on them at the last second.

As far as authenticity, I haven't had any problems. I've purchased CG11 wedges, an r7 driver, a Launcher driver, an r7 CGB Max iron set, and a Nike putter. I would just make sure to research the seller before pulling the trigger. eBay is so much cheaper for golf clubs than anywhere else - as long as you buy from someone reputable.

Good luck!

Never buy any new clubs from anyone who is not an authorized dealer. Make sure you check for this before making a purchase. If the seller is not an authorized dealer (which almost certainly means they have a brick and mortar store or pro shop) then Ping will not honor any guarantees or warranties of quality, so if the head breaks off, you're out of luck. And good luck trying to get anyone on ebay to give you a refund.

Buying "good" golf clubs for less than $100 on ebay is possible, but time consuming. You'll have to know the clubs you want,in what condition, the sellers ratings, shipping and payment arrangements.
Try craigslist.com and your local listings, you might come out with a better deal. Good Luck!

I bought two full sets of clubs on E Bay and I have purchased tees and several hundred balls. The price will definitely go up.
