Yes she should win and dominate on the LPGA tour first before tackling the men's tour, but us stupid golf fans keep coming out in record numbers to see her in PGA events that the sponsers keep giving her freaking exemptions to play in the PGA!

So the fans are much to blame as well! Stop going to see her in men's events!!!

Michelle Wie is a great talent. She is young and has set goals very high for herself. HOWEVER, this does nto give her the right to play on the PGA Tour. Wie has yet to win on the LPGA and has even less business on the PGA then any other women (Sorenstien ?sp?). After she dominates the LPGA, then this question shouild arise.

Ref: a couple of answers back from 'kobrajesu', whilst I sympathise with your point of view, I have a couple of comments to make. Firstly, Michelle does not qualify for most of the men's events in which she plays; some yes but not most. She gets sponsors invites in order to raise the gate entrance numbers. Secondly, the LPGA tour has a rule which bans men from entering their events. Why? Maybe because they don't want a man to win on their tour or maybe because they just know that the competition would generally be unequal.
Let's leave each to their own unless one wants to throw the whole entry question wide open.

Yes. There are reasons that they have an LPGA and a PGA. Its just plain fact, women don't have as much power and distance as guys. Its the same in most sports. I say this from personal experience. If she has run out of competition in the LPGA, sure, let her play in the PGA. But not yet.

She hasn't won yet but she's played pretty well for a kid. I think this crap about playing with the men is just because promoters are tossing huge amounts of appearance money at her and it's tough to turn a blind eye to scads of money for just showing up. Hell, I'll show up in a tutu and a dern tiara if the LPGA would pay me a truck load of bucks - all 220 pounds of me, belly and all.

But, yeah, I'd like her to stick to the LPGA.

Yes.

And David Toms should enter every LPGA event he can until this retarded trend of women playing on the men's tour comes to an end.

The LPGA exists for a reason. Either we need one tour for everybody, or the ladies need to stick to their own tour while the men do the same.

Stop bagging on her !! Blame the sponsors running the tournaments that invite her to play. They pay her, and she gets more attention when she plays against the men....which means more $$$ for her. What would you do, turn it down? She has plenty of time to win on the LPGA.

The sponsors of the less nicely standard golfing tournaments desire extra visitors. like it or no longer, Michelle Wie has drawn huge audiences everywhere she has performed, be it the PGA or LPGA. because of the fact of her participation in adult adult males's tournaments, she has made herself a celebrity and in turn she has made diverse endorsement funds, incredibly from Nike. So actual, she performs in adult adult males's tournaments because of the fact it makes reliable business enterprise experience for the sponsors. One professional golfer commented at the instant that when Michelle Wie grew to become into teeing off, she had this style of huge following, it grew to become into as though Tiger Woods grew to become into playing.
