it seems like that's the only thing people EVER use.... has golf amounted to just mindlessly swinging around the largest club in your bag??

First , I would like to apologize for asking a somewhat dumb question.I have been hitting my driver and not getting the distance I am supposed to .I can hit my 7 iron 180-190 yards on average, 9 iron 160-170 yards and my driver distance is maybe just 10-20 yards longer. I have seen fellow golf player amatuers like me having similar problems. I've bought lots of drivers with different flex from regular to extra stiff and they all gave me around the same distance, around 200-220 yards at most. My 3 wood goes 10 yards more than my driver. Friends have told me to just go through the 18 holes with my 7 iron at the tee, since it is more stable for me, 9 out of 10 balls will be dead straight leaving the ball in the fairway . BUT, like all men (I presume), would like to have their driver's distance to be a lot longer than their 7 iron. I understand this might be difficult to answer and any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I live on a golf course and a lot of golf balls are landing on my property. I sold 100 titleist balls on EBAy for $30.00, is that good? Where can I sell these balls for the best profit. Can I go out to the end of my law, facing the golf course, out up a sign saying "golf balls for sale" and sell them, How much is a ball, can I sell a used one for $0.50 each because I think that 100 for $30 was probably a bit cheep.
Thanks for your help

I was playing in a three day golf outing. This is the first time I met this guy in question. Now he has his ball marked about five feet from the hole ,the other two guys are still way off the green.I'm marking my ball when I look up and see this guy holding on to the flagstick and stretches out and putts the ball and it goes in the hole while he is still got the flag in the hole. Now it was obvious he was just trying to get a read on the putt.Well he looks at me and says he should do this more often and goes and picks up his ball marker. Now I'm just staring at him and say you can't do that. Now the other two guys are on the green and he started feeling guilty so he remarked his ball.At least he missed the putt the second time. Now I've been playing for thirty years and have never seen anything like that.My question is how many penalty strokes should he have gotten? Are should we have just taken him behind the clubhouse.By the way he won the tournament.Go figure

Two things. One: how can i keep my head down while swinging? This is a major problem. And 2: Why does my ball go flying to the right all the time? I hit it, and it flies to the right. Any tips or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

This is a reoccurring problem for me, it happens maybe 4 to 5 times a round. Everything is going great out on the course and out of nowhere I hit this wacky bouncing grounder 30 yards. (very embarrassing) I think bailing out early is probably my main problem. If I work on it a few swings I can fix the problem, but it comes back a few holes later... Also, I do the same thing by standing up a little when trying to muscle out a few extra yards. What are some tricks or tips I can use to keep from hitting these grounders so often.

I shoot around 90 with and would obviously like to lower that number. I have a set of King Cobras that I've had for 13 years. My swing speed dictates that I use a stiff shaft and my current set are steal. I am longer than average with my driver, but like a lot of people I would like to add some distance and accuracy. Some of the newer large headed, titanium drivers are very enticing. Are they worth the 3 to 5 hundred $$ they cost? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

I mean will i be totally bored to death? Ooh also one more thing, he is left handed, and i am right handed, and he is going to try and teach me how to play left handed becuz we are using his golf clubs, will that we WAY harder than if i just used right handed ones?

Found a golf disc about three weeks ago with a name and phone number written on it with a Sharpie marker. I called the number, and it was a bussiness phone, and they had never heard of the person who was named on the disc. Its a good disc, and I would like to keep it, but without someone elses name on it.

I saw this on TV a while back. There's a type of golf ball out there that not only has normal size dimples, but it also has dimples WITHIN these dimples. I don't mean smaller dimples in the areas that aren't already dimples, I mean ACTUAL dimples inside the already existing larger dimples.

Thanks for the help!

This happened in the final round. Just have read news accounts, though not too much clarity about his caddie holding a rake on an errant shot, that eventually wound up in the water-hazard,which was not the penalty, and wanted to find out the sequence of events. The penalty,as I understand it, was the rake, since his caddie was holding it,was deemed part of Pavin's equipment, therefore re-dropping,in the bunker with a 2-stroke penalty. I just want to know, what happened? Did Pavin hit his ball, hitting the rake his caddie was holding? or what?
