The LA Galaxy are desperate and crazy for paying that kind of money to a athelete, for a sport the majority of Americans can care less about. You can't make Americans like a sport, they think sucks and takes too long to score.

News Flash..... Los Angeles doesn't have a Real Football team, what makes them believe on man, will make people in LA, start liking soccer. The only ones that watch soccer are euro's and hispanics.

Then they would see how rediculous they look when they take dives. A GP racer can fall of his bike at 100 mph plus, get up, run to his bike to get back into the race. To see these idiots writhing on the ground after a leg tap is ludricous. I am an ex racer and a soccer fan.

futbol is a real sport becuast you use every muscle in your body and you barly wear pads like gay football people. in futbol you run for ever like non-stop but in football you run for ten seconds and then you get a thirty second break. football isnt even that tough you wear like 20 pounds of pads in futbol you wear shin pads that are small and we slidetackle and push and do more contact with like no pads IF YOU PLAY FOOTBALL THEN YOU ARE A QUEER BIG QUEER

European players and coaches give lip service to the MLS when they're playing them in friendlies like the Celtics-All Stars game, but I dont think many people would argue that they dont really hold the MLS in the same regard as the Premier League or La Liga, for instance.

Does the US have to win a World Cup before the world accepts US soccer? Or will the big European leagues just never accept the MLS as a full-fledged soccer league, simply because they're American?

Personally, I think this decision to play a weaker squad in the Copa America than in the Gold Cup was bad for promoting interest in the US National team, and more generally in soccer in the US. The American sports fan will be much more inclined to embrace soccer if the US National team does well--Americans like a winner. What do you think?
