Many critize him and say that he can't score with his feet. I say it's a combination of both talent and luck. In England pre-world cup friendly match against Jamica he scored a hat-trick with his feet. Also being also 2 meteres tall, shooting off corners and crosses with his header is easy for him. Talent or luck, what do you think?

So Figo didn't get red carded on the pitch so fifa wont do anything because the ref acted and punished him with a mere yellow. Yet the Portuguese now want the red for Deco (which was given by the ref at the time) to be taken back... hullo whats wrong with this picture???

I'm sorry but I think Australia has got a bad wrap in so many ways. I get very passionate. Hey I'm a football fan. No more fighting I promise. But just give Australia a chance eh? We're going places in world football and as a long suffering football nation it is hard to get knocked out when the nation was on such a high. It's ok for nations that have been there many times, we haven't. To go out on a line ball call was a cruel blow for us. You have to undertand that.

We will be in South Africa 2010, that's for sure.

I am South African but now live in New Zealand, I would love to go to SA in 2010 for the World Cup but I am little nervous as to how South Africa is going to cope?? The rugby world cup held there in 1995 will be a picnic compared to the football world cup!!

I think there should be another official who sits in the stands with tv monitors and when a foul is commited or seems to be commited and also if a team thinks they have scored because the ball went over the line but bounced back out then the tv referee can be called upon to see replays and slow motion replays to decide if a penalty or goal should be awarded. A referee on the field is only human and will make mistakes which can rob a team of all their hopes and dreams as we saw this morning happen to Australia. No I am not an Australian but I do love football and only want to see the game get with the times and use the technology that is available out there that other sports like cricket, rugby union and rugby league are using and have been using to the benefit of players, officials and fans for quite a while now.
