Totti did it. It is also the way Garcia of Spain & Liverpool celebrates. They each have their reasons! Some in response to media criticism ( about being childish, and so on ) some in honour of children ( although they mostly do the craddle for that ).
Whatever the reason, the players themselves only know.

Most player have their own style of celebrating goals. Maybe, it's just his own style which differentiate him with other players.. or maybe he got his special reason.. :) who knows..
