I'm sorry but I think Australia has got a bad wrap in so many ways. I get very passionate. Hey I'm a football fan. No more fighting I promise. But just give Australia a chance eh? We're going places in world football and as a long suffering football nation it is hard to get knocked out when the nation was on such a high. It's ok for nations that have been there many times, we haven't. To go out on a line ball call was a cruel blow for us. You have to undertand that.

We will be in South Africa 2010, that's for sure.

I should mention that we win $9.3 million dollars for getting into the second round. So it wasn't all in vain.

Hey, I am Italian, came and spit in my face!
You are so little!
Pitiful!
You IDIOT!

...and for those saying it was not penalty kick... learn some soccer before talking!
And do not even bother to answer... you are just incompetent!

For Matthew D ---> absolutely no fight, just answering to the insults of that IDIOT of "tottiblowsrefs" (who is incompetent, whithout any knowledge of soccer and obviously an IDIOT)

For Hiro ---> at least someone that watch soccer with good eyes: people can go to the official FIFA site and watch again the "supposed" foul of Materazzi. He did not even touched Bresciano, but he hit Zambrotta's leg. Yellow card would have been already too much.

Yeah I'm with you mate,, gotta feel for Lucas Neil,, after such a great series to end like that,, I recon every right minded football fan would have to concede that a lot of decisions by the refs in this series have had an adverse effect on the eventual outcome of many games not just those involving the Aussies,,but man that's sport oh the glorious uncertainty all the glory one minute despair the next,, onward to the Asian cup and beyond

It is not only you that should offer an apology. Some very condescending remarks have come from camp Italy also that have not been sportsman like either. Nice offer, let us see whether they take you up on it. That old saying comes to mind. let he who is without sin cast the first stone and people in glass houses should not throw stones. I'm over it all and can't wait for the Socceroo's to begin their charge on 2010. Some people have just one eye and you will never change that.

Ball is round nothing is sure but I do sympathise with the way Australia is eliminated. Italy shouldn't be awarded a penalty as it clearly show Grosso is diving!

For Soccer Mind --> I was just an ordinary guy who gain football knowledge thru TV, pardon me if my football knowledge is not up to your level. I was just trying to express what I saw on the TV, if my 2 pence opinion did offence you. I offer my apology.

well, u can't blame entirely on the italians. though it remain quite controversial as to whether they should be awarded any penalty or not. but hey, come to think of the red card, dont u think the referee was too harsh to dash it out straight?? it looked more like a yellow card to me. anyway, chances and advantages have been given to the aussies for half the game and they failed to capitalise it. so who to blame?? and in the end, i thnk the referee thought he might be too harsh on the red card, that's why it's kinda payback...

and please dont spit on any other pple...u sound more like a dog to anybody. i aint an italian, im a chinese...imagine all the pple from china spit on u?? u'll be drown!?!? whaha...
