As much as a lot of teams do the same thing, they are by far the worst. Anyone who watches a lot of soccer knows that.

Did you notice any faking or verbal harrassment during France Brasil? Most of the teams that cheat, dive etc. just follow Italy's example and every time Italy plays another team, there is a weird unethical vibe to the entire game. I am so glad that most players are being demoted in Italy and punished for their cheating. Right after "winning the world cup"! How ironic!

How can anyone be happy that they won after they repetitly cheated, faked injuries and verbally harassed so many people?

Zidane is a French Algerian player. A combination of two natinalities/ cultures where the countries (Algeria and France) face each other on the mediterranean sea, are just one hour flight from each other. And anyway Algeria was a french province (not a french colony) for more than a century and a half called l'Algerie francaise. Algerians are very familiarised with the french culture and speak french fluently and are the largest foreign community in France (over 6 millions) What about all the other players who are from Sub- Saharan Africa? Or is it because Zidane is the best?

About this new England manager McLaren... I have great hopes this guy will do for England what all other managers could not. Just a feeling. The way he sounds he seems to be down to earth and HONEST. QUESTION; Who can name all the managers of England from today back to the WC of 1986 in Mexico ? AND who can remember the cock-up of Mexico WC in Monterey, ironically enough against Portugal ? I wish McLaren the best but I am begenning to believe that maybe, perhaps the problem isnot a MANAGER issue but something else. Who can put the finger on the real issue ? These are TWO honest questions and not sarcasm to which I really would like to hear your opinions. Thanks.

I think Bravo is a better player than zidane cause he headbutts the ball not the opposition. Bravo is a better striker than Schvenkeo.

that Zidane can head butt a bloke on tv and have it transmitted round the world and get a fine or a match ban.. .but if you do it outside a pub on a friday night you could go to prison... and don't give me any crap about provocation...this was a blatant assault... the fact that you can get away with this kind of thing on a football pitch but not in the street... doesn't seem right to me. I'm not saying you should be able to get away with it in the street either but it seems you can get away with injuring someone and call it sport...people have been killed in the boxing ring, but the difference is they know why they are there, they are not going in for a tickling competition.. but to hurt people.. football is supposed to be a non contact sport... or did I get it wrong?

To all you Zidane lovers who seem to be lip readers....In the 13th minute of overtime when Buffon blocked a header by Zidane, he turned to Buffon and yelled at him with some anger. Was he wondering why he did let him score?
Again to you lip readers, what he saying to the official when he was red carded....was he wondering what he did?
Sounds like he's a cry baby who wants his way.

I put this and the Lehmann and Buffon questions here to find out how many girls think these guys are hot. I find Jens Lehmann is very attractive, and Buffon isn't great-looking, but still pretty cute, so what about Michael Ballack? I think he's cute too.

In a penalty during a match (not during a penalty shoot out).
What's to stop a player passing it side ways and letting some else score in the box (Pires/ Henry fiasco)?
or
Taking a large run up, dribble the ball and tap in the penalty from very, very, very short range?
Is there some sort of rule stopping this? (In both instances) or not :).

Italy seems to be the only country to do so in history. We all know an own goal doesn't count and yes Zidanes unjust penalty kick counts as a goal but we all know it doesn't. Any other country done something similar to Italy?
