I agree with you!!! He was amazing at the World Cup!!! But don't forget that Alessandro Nesta was injured early in the tournament and couldn't play much. He's a great defender too!!!

FABIO CANNAVARO without a doubt!!! He is a brick wall! What about Fabio Grosso & Marco Materazzi? They were both excellent defenders that added some fire power in goal! 4 goals between the 2 of them!!!

Cannavaro was the best with no doubt...he should have gotten the golden ball, but it is difficult for a defender to get it...
Now, Nesta wasn't able to play, and Nesta is as good as Cannavaro, and they playing together is something amazing, a wall, it was too bad we didn't have the opportunity to watch them much..
I believe that if Nesta played then both of them could be considered best defenders.

I absolutely agree. I think he should have gotten the Golden Ball instead of Zidane. Cannavaro was more consistantly a great player than Zidane.

I can not argue with you on this...but its kind of funny that my other favourite besides Fabio is Lucas Neill from my socceroo's...lol. May seem strange but hey they are the two that impressed me in the tournament.
