Seems that no one has had the since to reverse what everyone says about Manning. Colts lose two of their three starting receivers and barely lose two games, yet all the talk is about how Manning is nothing without Harrison. He loses his left and right tackle on offense but still wins games. He made Jacksonville and Carolina look bad without Harrison and almost beat the Pats. Brady never had receivers, and guess what, he never put up numbers. It was always the running game and the defense that won games for them. Not that Brady isn't great, just that Manning is as good. I see so much talk about pressuring Manning and he will crumble, but tonight he was sacked four times and threw 3 td's without Harrison and his left and right tackle. Just looking for some honest answers on who is better. Not this year, last year or next. Who is the best qb.

ok here is the scenario.
Arkansas beats (1) LSU
(16) Virginia beats (8) VT*
*and loses ACC champioship
UCLA beats (9) Oregon
GT beats (6) Georgia
(20) Conn. beats (4) WV*
*loses the Bg East
(3) Mizzou* beats (2) Kansas
*then loses Big XII Championship game
Ok St. beats (10) Oklahoma
this makes 9 out of 10 teams ranked over USC loose and gives them an equal or more loses to USC.
IF a BIG IF this was to freakishly happen as college football has been freaky this year. Is it enough to put USC in the BCS title game against Ohio St. who is the only team ranked above USC that doesn't still have a chance to loose.

The Cowboys might very well end up being humiliated by the Patriots in the Super Bowl. That will give Dallas 4 super bowl losses, tying for worst, along with Denver, Buffalo, and Minnesota, even as they have 5 wins, which ties them for the best, along with SF and Pittsburgh.
The Patriots would become one of only four teams to have won 4+ championships, as they knock the Cowboys into the worst category. Does that cause Cowboys fans to hate NE as much as Pittsburgh (as the Steelers did beat them twice in super bowls)? Does it make anti-Cowboy people happy to see this coming? Is that a draw for those who don't like the Cowboys to route for the Patriots?

The Packers haven't played a strong team all season, while the Cowboys, although losing to the Patriots, have beaten winning teams impressively. Also, the Packers only lose, the Chicago Bears, were outscored by the Cowboys by several touchdowns. Give reasoning for choosing team, along with deciding factors such as: injuries, strengths, and weaknesses.

I want to know who you guys really think has the best shot to win...not just who you root for/want to win. I think if LSU can get by Arkansas tomorrow, they will go on and win the SEC and make the BCS NC game...which is fine with me!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!! Any other thoughts. My NC game is LSU vs. WVU (I think the 3 Big 12 schools knock each other out)...with LSU winning the BCS NC game.

most people now believe that pittsburgh is in the way of new england going perfect . the way i see it is if the steelers can find a way to hold that patriots offense below 20 they can win , like 17-14 or something like that . however if new england jumps out to 14-0 or 21-0 it's over . what do you think ?

I forgot how bad he is at play-by-play until tonights game on the NFL network.
I love the guy in one-on-one interviews (even though he always looks like someone just told him his puppy died).
But listening to him announce a game is just painful.
"Maybe" not as bad as listening to Phil Simms, but pretty close.
On the brighter side, I guess it makes ESPN Monday Night Football look AWESOME now.

It must be really really hard to find a good announcer for football. The only ones that figured it out (ABC) let the guys go to another network (NBC).

I do like Cris Collinsworth though. I didnt like him when he first arrived in the booth a few years ago..but now I do..not sure why, but I think he is very well educated in football and seems to be able to say "I was wrong".

anyone else see what I am seeing..?

Ok.. so, in professional sports.. let's take football for example.. If a team is beating another team something like.. oh, I don't know 56 to 10 on the losing teams home turf.. Or if they are just plain beating a team, and there is no hope that the other team will catch up.. and it is the last few mins of the 4th quarter of the game.. should they continue to take all opportunities to score?? Or should they just run the ball, and "leave the other team with some dignity" as my husband puts it.

I say that it is more insulting to the losing team, for the winning team to "play down" so that they feel better..

My husband says that it is more professional if they exercise some ethics, and just give the other guys a break..

who do you agree with???? thanks!
