The Packers haven't played a strong team all season, while the Cowboys, although losing to the Patriots, have beaten winning teams impressively. Also, the Packers only lose, the Chicago Bears, were outscored by the Cowboys by several touchdowns. Give reasoning for choosing team, along with deciding factors such as: injuries, strengths, and weaknesses.

I know that the Packers had trouble with the Broncos, but they found a way to win and that is what good teams do. The Cowboys have won a lot of games impressively, but they too struggled against a sub-.500 team like the Bills but found a way to win. In the end, the only factor is the home field advantage. Cowboys 28-27. If you are a bettor, stay away from this one.

This is a tough one. If the game was in Green Bay- i'd give it to the Packers without a thought.

Here are the factors:

Packers Pass Rush. KGB and Kaufman have been monsters! If they can pressure Romo i think that the Packers can contain Dallas' run. The Packers offense is playing so well right now that they can put up enough points if they can limit the Cowboys.

Cowboys Pass Rush: Right now Brett Favre is playing some crazy ball. The Cowboys have to pressure Favre to make him make some ill-advised throws.

Packers Ability to run the ball: Grant did well today and they'll need him to pick up some yards to balance. i don't think they can be so predictable against the Cowboys (predictable = 31 of 35 passing plays today to start the game).

Packers need to get off to a good start: On the road. Plus if the Packers get behind that's when Brett Favre starts trying to force balls in.

Overall although i think the Cowboys are better on paper, you gotta love momentum and what the Packers are doing. i really say it's a toss up but if i had to pick a team- i'd go with the Packers just because of the way that Brett Favre is playing.

Tough call. I answered a similar question with an almost identical answer. But here it is...

The Packers have a young team. How will they handle it if they get down? The team only had one hiccup early in the season and lost to the Bears. They passed some other earlier tests. Yet the Packers have come together this season. Since the last quarter of last season, the Packers started to become a team. Now they have something special growing. But the fact remains that they are young. This is their first taste of success. How do they handle their first real challenge?

I think the Packers are the better team. They have the WRs to hurt the Cowboys. They have the defense to slow or even stop Dallas. Brett Favre can throw it up and down the field at Texas Stadium. Sure, he's never won there. But this is a different team and a new decade. He had trouble winning in Minnesota and Detroit, but now he owns those places.

The next problems for the Packers, injuries. KGB was hurt and perhaps more importantly, Charles Woodson was hurt and is questionable for the Dallas game. Also, will safety Nick Collins be ready? Keep an eye on those players. The loss of Jonny Jolly was a tough one, but with the Packers depth on DL it isn't quite as bad. the Packers rush attack is a more recent arrival. Ryan Grant is some kind of player, three 100 yard rushing games out of the last 5 games. But he had a sprained ankle coming off the Panthers game. Although it didn't seem to slow him down against the lions. They kept him down to 15 carries, but he still topped 100 and a TD with 6 receptions. I think he'll be all right.

From the Dallas standpoint, they had some tough games too, barely getting past the Bills and a few other games were close. Their only loss came against perhaps the best team in the NFL. Plus, this game is in Dallas. The Cowboys also have a more established running game. Whereas the Packers rush attack is a more recent arrival. Dallas has trouble perhaps more in the secondary (at safety), so the experts claim. We'll see. But unless the Cowboys get some pressure on Favre when the Packers spread out with 4-5 WRs, Brett will get some good match-ups down field. The Cowboys better be careful when they blitz or they could be burned for long bombs. But if they can hide the blitz or confuse Favre (a tough task--Favre is smart and gets rid of the ball so fast), then they might get some quick hits on him and force some throws. But again, blitzing is dangerous with Favre. He reads defenses so well and delivers the ball fast and accurately. Only if he forces a ball or if there is some confusion between the QB and the young WRs or RBs might you see some bad throws.

The Cowboys don't need a great game from TO to win. So if they decide to double him, then there are other ways to go. That's how good the Dallas offense is. They have two RBs to share the carries and spell each other. A good 1-2 punch. That takes a great deal of pressure off of a QB and the passing game. Witten can be dangerous in this game. The Packers have to be careful about him up the middle.

The game might come down to turnovers. Who gets them? Romo has a tendency to throw up more interceptions than Favre right now. But I expect both teams to score. Even though they both have good defenses. Unless there is a great deal of turnovers, this could be a 30 point effort from both teams.

If KGB and Woodson are both healthy, then I give the edge to the Packers. But this game could go either way.

If Packers are healthy, then I predict Packers 38 - 28.

This is because of another intangible, team chemistry. The Packers have some kind of mojo that no other team has right now. They have grown over the season and are not the same as they were when they played the Bears. The Packers are not just winning now, they are crushing opponents. And no one else seems to be having more fun when they play. Brett Favre's enthusiasm is infectious. And his poise on the field holds his team together.

I don't know... I mean this is tough. This will be the NFC Championship game and it should be a great one. It's unbelievable that the Packers have come off a season that was just abismal and have put together this record... it really just seems odd to be honest. And the Cowboys... I mean, yeah they were alright last year, but I did not think this is how they would be doing this close to the end of the season. I think the Cowboys win this one next week and it will be what decides homefield advantage and the Packers beat the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game. Which will be the Patriots and the Packers in the Superbowl allowing New England to steamroll the Packers to get back that 96 Superbowl. Would of been so sweet if they could of beat Chicago last year for 86 and then the Pack this year. GO PATS!

wait.... the Dallas cowboys have played almost the same teams the packers has played besides 3. Pats who they lost to by 21pts, the Rams( who packers play later this season) Dolphins.who anyone could beat right about now and the Bills who Dallas almost lost to. How can you say the Packers hasn't played strong teams when they've played almost the exact same schedule? do your research .

And it isn't the Packers fault that they've played teams under .500. They just play the teams that are on the schedule and dominate them. The Packers could have won that game if it wasn't for penalties against the bears. And it was only by 7 pts. And look at where the bears are now... 4-6. So you really don't make that strong of the case that the Boys have had a stronger schedule besides the Pats who they lost to by 21 pts.

Please give credit to the Packers for being 10-1 because they are a darn good team and not because of who they have played. I guess you could make the same argument for the Pats that they've played no one, but I don't see any talking about that.... Because it doesn't matter.

Both teams are pretty healthy....
Both teams can execute on offense and defense

The cowboys have a better running game
but the packers passing game is better...

i say this game comes down to defense
so its hard to say who wins

im not a fan of both teams and really dont care who wins
all i know is that this is gonna be one hell of a game

Who has the better team or who wins? Two totally different questions. The Cowboys are a better all around team, but I'm going to give this one to Green Bay. More overall experience under center with that number 4 guy.

I love the Cowboys too, but if they were giving points Id put money on GB in a heartbeat

This is a no brainer!
DALLAS DOES NOT WANT A SHOOT OUT WITH FARVE
GB did lose to Chicago (the oldest rivaly in the NFL) that is their only loss. And It was a crappy loss other GB has dominated teams.

Comparisons
QB - Green Bay
O Line - Green Bay
Running - Dallas
D Line - Green Bay
Line Backers - Green Bay
D Backs - Green Bay
ST - Green Bay
Coaching - Green Bay
Home field - Dallas

GB limits TO and Romo and Farve throws the ball around to 8 recievers for about 360 years.
Green Bay wins 37-31 in a shoot out.
