I want to know who you guys really think has the best shot to win...not just who you root for/want to win. I think if LSU can get by Arkansas tomorrow, they will go on and win the SEC and make the BCS NC game...which is fine with me!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!! Any other thoughts. My NC game is LSU vs. WVU (I think the 3 Big 12 schools knock each other out)...with LSU winning the BCS NC game.

Whatever idiot just said that Kansas has won some tough road games must be watching KU's curling team. Of those tough road teams, none of them will finish above .500 this season.

LSU will win the NC over Missouri unless Matt Flynn blows it in the SEC championship game or the BCS championship game. And if Mizzou loses to OU in the Big 12 championship game, then West Viriginia will get their shot but either way lose. LSU's defense is the best in the nation, hands down. The only thing standing in their way is, again, shaky Matt Flynn.

However, some of LSU's wins were very ugly and two of those wins were because of blown calls. Because LSU's offense is unreliable they can be beat because of that.

West Virginia beats LSU in the title game.

And all the people saying WVU would have no chance against any of those teams: you don't have a clue of what you're talking about. WVU ALWAYS gives out of conference teams fits because of their ridiculous speed and the schemes they run. Those teams don't see those schemes very often. It's what happened to Georgia 2 years ago in the Sugar Bowl against WVU. UGA was on a roll, they slaughtered LSU in that same Georgia Dome right before that game and WVU hammered them. It's the speed and the schemes.

The last time WVU lost a game against a team that did not play us every year was the Florida St. in the Gator Bowl back in 2004.

LSU has to be the favorite answer, but with it being such a weird season i think there is going to be something weird that happens.

Like LSU loses in the SEC championship game, and #2 and #3 loses also. or LSU plays some heavy underdog team whom every media outlet says doesnt belong there and LSU actually ends up losing.

I actually hope something outrageous happens because i hate the BCS system, and i want it gone.

The water is so muddy right now its ridiculous. The one team you can count on is that OSU won't lose another game, before the Bowls. LSU has a possible loss on their schedule (not to mention the distraction of Les Myles and Michigan), either Kansas or Missouri will drop off this weekend and then the winner has to play Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game. West Virginia has the smoothest road but can still lose to UConn ad with ASU out of the picture, I would say it looks like Ohio State will at the very least end up third in the BCS if not in the title picture. I would have to say at this time if WVU survives UConn they will meet and lose to Ohio State.

Well, in being a Volunteer fan, and since our chances are gone for the NC, Im pulling for LSU. Hey, Might as well keep it in the conference, and Im a hugh fan of SEC football. I believe thats what makes us the strongest football conference in the country. The fact that if our respected team doesn't have a shot at it, that we are more than willing to pull for one of our local competitors. Not saying that I wouldn't love to see an upset if my Vols can get by LSU, but if not, GO TIGERS!!

I think it will be LSU unless Tenneesee loses to Kentucky. If thats the case, then LSU plays a road game in the SEC title game against Georgia and loses there. If UT beats UK, i see LSU cruising thru that game against UT and defeating (unfortunately) WVU in the title game easily. Kansas/Mizzo winner loses to Oklahoma the following week eliminating them both from the top 5, WVU probably wins out. I am hoping they don't so my Buckeyes move up to #2, but I don't see it happening. My prediction right now though, LSU over WVU in title game 34-10. Thanks for the laugh though guy who picked WVU by 21 over LSU.

I am not sold on LSU's run defense. It will be interesting to see if they can stop Mcfadden. Plus Georgia is no slouch. Depding on what Tennesee team shows up, they can play very well, too.
My top five favorites to win the national championship, with 1 being the favorite, would be
LSU
WVU
Missou
OSU
Kansas
I think WVU and Missou are tied at second.

LSU if we can win the remaining two games (SEC champ included).

If LSU makes it to the NC game, they really need to work on those penalties, because that can hurt us really badly...

Geaux Tigers!

Best bet to win it,, if they make it I would say The Ohio State University..

Best bets to make it at the moment would be LSU and WVU....
with LSU winning it.....

But if LSU and WVU stumble and Oklahoma wins the Big 12 I think that leaves us an OSU vs Kansas NC game.... as those wold be the only 2 1 loss teams...
OSU will beat Kansas....
IF LSU makes it and WVU stumbles and OKlahoma wins big 12 I think that OSU wins it on sheer grit of not wanting a repeat of last year vs the SEC in the game.

If it is WVU they dont stand a chance against any of the possibles.
