I would rather be, and am, a Wide Reciever. As a WR you get to throw everything you have at a CB and see if they can react before you make a catch and end up in the end zone. Also as a WR you get to be very physical and have lots of chances to lay down hit just as hard, if not harder, than a cornerback does. I like the chance to outthink and outrun CB's and also to still have chances to be blocking and hitting other players on the field. Also, if you miss a block or drop a pass as a WR it isn't as quickly jumped on by coaches as a CB missing a tackle or getting burned, so theres slightly less pressure and at the same time a lot more money and publicity.

close but WR

CB is very challenging though, you can only get beat so many times and you're a bust. You get beat less than half of the times a WR can drop the ball, and fans will be screaming you lost the game(s)/season for them. Its a pressure cooker, and the rules definitely do not favor you.

i play safety (just a bigger CB) at the college level... and as much as i love playing defense.... everyone knows when you mess up a play cause it means they score points... WR's can have a few drops and still be the saviors of the day. Plus how many WR's can you name and how many CB's can you name? WR's get alot more credit and attention.

Cornerback, it's more challenging.

Besides QB, it's the toughest position to play. You must have a great combination of speed to chase a wideout with NBA leaping ability and strenght to stop a RB.

Most of the rules benefit the WR, and WRs are bigger, know the play and the route they are running.
