If Notre Dame would stop playing the service academy's (Army, Navy) they would have a better chance of winning a bowl game. This would give them a chance to play better compepition and see how they stack up against real college football teams. As we saw last night they do not stack up well.

I know this is a Big if.

Just suppose they do win.....what then?

And don't answer if you are going to say it does not matter because they won't win.

Just answer the question please.

People put Braddy Quinn and JaMarcus Russel ahead of him, is that crazy or what. He is cleary a great leader and plays his best against top-notch compition. Sure he is only 5'11 or 6'0, but who cares, he is very mobile ( people who say he is only a little faster than Brady Quinn are lying) And about his accurcy, um..... above 65% last i checked is prettty darn good and his arm is great, he doesn't have power issues ( that amazing 50 yard TD pass on the run under extreame pressure against Penn State). Also, people who say he will be playing against better Defense in th NFl also have to consider he will also be playing with better offenses. SUre he plays on a great team, but i don't think Ohio State would be this good if they didn't have him Troy Smith defiently deserves to be ahead of the likes of Brady Quinn(very good, but overrated) and JamArcis Russel (who is not even on the same level as Troy Smith and Brady Qun and just is getting attetion becuse of his bowl game against a sad ND D

Did you see Jamarcus Russell? Anybody who did can have no doubts that this guy is the best pure passer to come out since, oh, Peyton Manning in 98'? Drew Bledsoe in 92'?? What a cannon!

I think he should because not only does he have a ton of flab to lose. . but he is also a total LOSER!!!! They could just tell him he can't eat again until notre dame wins a bowl game!!! Of course. . .he would starve to death long before that happens!! Suggestion to notre dame: Stop robbing the deserving teams of BCS bowl bids and start playing in bowls you deserve to be in. . like the "Hoover You Suck Bowl". HA HA HA

Some of these players come from very poor families. If the player is really good he or she could be offered a national award. If the award ceremony is in a different state can someone pay for the players parents? If they can how is that not a violation of the NCAA rules?

To all skins fans worldwide this goes out to you and for those who have other teams that have observed our season this year. Tell me fans what do you think should happen with the skins in the offseason, what do they need, and who should they let go?

I think this would cheapen the feeling you get when your team does well. If you ever encounter a "bandwagon fan" it is fun to ask him/her questions about their teams history.

Do you think that Saban quit coaching the Dolphins because of the 40 million dollar paycheck? Do you also think that Huizenga refused to show him the money to keep him?

Easy: They do not play in a conference and don't have to compete for a conference championship like 99% of Div 1A teams do.
Look at LSU, for example: not only do they have to compete in the SEC, they have to compete in the SEC WEST, so they are competitively-speaking much more prepared for a major bowl game than Notre Dame. All Notre Dame has to do to get to a BCS game is win 9 games in their regular season against mediocre teams while getting totally THUMPED this season by elite teams like USC and Michigan.
Join a BCS conference, Notre Dame, and it's probably gonna have to be the Big East because you're already in that conference in basketball!

I cannot understand how this dude was nominated over Jamarcus Russell , after that awesome game last night . Jamarcus and the LSU Tigers had the toughest road scueldule playing the Auburn Tigers and losing just 3-7 . They also lost to a #2 Florida whose may i remind u is playing in the National CHAMPIONSHIP game. LSU proved that they can beat teams without having home team advantage with the dramatic Tennessee and Arkansas game whom everyone thought was going to bplaying for a National Championship title at the time. IF Jamarcus leaves he WILL get picked over this Quinn dude and IF he stays (which all us lsu fans pray he does) LSU WILL be a HARD team to BEAT , and they will be a contender for the National Championship under LES MILES not SABAN this time who can't make up his mind. What i can't fathom is how Quinn was nominated in the first place ? He is not a that bad player but he is not Heisman worthy and he didn't win, but just getting nominated is an honor. So how did this happen

If he had been offered more money than he is making now, would he relocate? I saw the other day what he makes per year but I have forgotten but it was a heck of a lot less than they offered Nick Saban.
