Not really.....but he might end up being it......too early in his career to really pass that title to him....he really is great, but I am old school and still think that Jim Brown was the best ever.....Gayle Sayers the most exciting with Barry Sanders a close second.....if he continues on this pace he will be there...lets see how he endures the punishment and see what kind of cards the future will deal him with....being with a good team helps......imagine Barry Sanders with the Cowboy line that Emmitt enjoyed.....we will see!! LT is fantastic!!

Well, this question is just frankly absurd until Tomlinson can prove he can do this for about a decade. I wish we could stop with these types. You could say Barry Sanders, but he too played too few years. Walter Payton is a good candidate, but all-in-all, no one can seem to compete with Jim Brown... the greatest ever.

If he keeps going at the pace he currently is he will certainly surpass every running back that this league has ever seen. As far as my opinion of the guy he's not only the most electric and unstoppable back in the NFL but athlete as well.

Hes great and if his career keeps going this way you would have a good argument but at this point he doesnt compare to Barry Sanders let alone Walter Payton

I think he has the chance to be - if he can put together another 6 years like he has had, then he will be the best. If he only has another year or 2 in him, then no he won't be the best.
