I vote for Steve Young. To someone who said that Favre has the heart, should watch the 1998 NFC Wildcard game between the Packers and the Niners. Steve Young showed Favre who's the best.

Well that's really hard because I love both QBS.....But if you make me pick I'll pick Steve Young....He basically set the mold for what I look for in a QB.....Who can ever forget that long run he did against the Vikings......I crave the scrambling QBS because of him.....ANd he was just an awesome scrambler but he was accurate as hell..........And I'm a bay area girl...love the guy....Listen religiously to the weekly guest radio spot he does in the bay area.......Have learned so much about football through the years just by listening to him speak...

Do love#4 though......

Steve Young had better stats, but if Steve Young played as long as Brett Favre who Knows.

I'll go with Brett Favre

Favre, definitely. Only 3-time MVP (young had two) and soon to be holder of just about every record.

The consecutive games streak is incredible, as are the touchdown passes.

Young was a great piece of a great team. Favre, like Elway in the mid to late 1980s, was one of those rare quarterbacks whose cannon arm, nifty mobility and never-say-die drive allowed him to single-handedly take over games late in the 4th Quarter. Favre and Elway are those rare combinations of peerless athleticism and relentless drive. No other QBs can really boast that. Montana, Young, Marino, etc. were all great, but not in the way Elway and Favre were .

Brett Favre because he played longer than Steve Young.

a superb QB, suitable 20 all time, not nicely ideal ever. With 40 5+ years of gazing the NFL right here's my suitable 5: a million) Elway 2) Marino 3) Unitas 4) Staubach 5) Montana To Willy - communicate about a R-Tard - Elway in no way lost 4 SBs, he change into 2-3 contained in the 5 SBs he known in and the first 3 Denver might want to have in no way even been there if it hadn't been for Elway. He carried those 3 communities to the SBs. The 5 I listed because the perfect might want to carry a crew all on their own skills. Favre is a superb QB yet in no way has had that expertise.

i don't think there is a wrong answer here...but the only stat that really sticks out as setting these two apart is 256 consecutive starts including the playoffs...i mean young has qb rating...favre has td's and wins...they are both good...but young missed games and favre just hasnt...ever....
