People put Braddy Quinn and JaMarcus Russel ahead of him, is that crazy or what. He is cleary a great leader and plays his best against top-notch compition. Sure he is only 5'11 or 6'0, but who cares, he is very mobile ( people who say he is only a little faster than Brady Quinn are lying) And about his accurcy, um..... above 65% last i checked is prettty darn good and his arm is great, he doesn't have power issues ( that amazing 50 yard TD pass on the run under extreame pressure against Penn State). Also, people who say he will be playing against better Defense in th NFl also have to consider he will also be playing with better offenses. SUre he plays on a great team, but i don't think Ohio State would be this good if they didn't have him Troy Smith defiently deserves to be ahead of the likes of Brady Quinn(very good, but overrated) and JamArcis Russel (who is not even on the same level as Troy Smith and Brady Qun and just is getting attetion becuse of his bowl game against a sad ND D

Put ANY rookie on the Raiders and see how they do, the Raiders are a terrible team and a terrible organization. NFL people have a hard on for height and Troy Smith is shorter than most of them like but his offensive line is very tall. He is not going to have any problems with his height in the NFL. If he gets drafted by a competent organization look for him to do good things at the next level.

Troy Smith is a great collegiate athlete but he does not appear to be NFL starter material. He could get drafted at some point late of the 1 or early second round. His roll with whatever team that drafts him will more than likely be the backup, that's if he makes the team.

Example:
Charlie Ward was a qb for FSU. He was an electric collegiate athlete who went on to win the Heisman trophy. He was not drafted by "1" NFL team. He was simply too small and was not NFL material. He went on to play in the NBA for the Knicks.

At least Troy Smith will get drafted.

If you can honestly look at Jamarcus Russel and not see a prototypical NFL QB, then you need to watch more NFL. He is by far the most qualified QB for the next level. The LSU playbook is most like pro playbooks, and his size makes him a perfect fit. Troy Smith wont be able to even see over the offensive linemen in the NFL.

Troy Smith will be throwing turnips off a turnip truck while JaMarcus Russell is throwing TD's in the NFL. To say that Russell is just now getting attention because of the sugar bowl shows that you are an idiot. Russell will be the first QB drafted in the NFL, you can bet yourass on that.

NO LOVE? The guy won the freaking Heisman Trophy, will quite possibly win the national title and will be a relatively high draft pick! He gets more love than most! His size compared to Quinn is a bit of an issue, but if Doug Flutie could find a way, why not him?

Because he isnt a Pro QB he is surrounded by great football players that make him look good....he cant read defences and he runs a verry easy offence he has enough talent to get him by in college but not in the pros, he a "Good" QB with great talent around him which is why he is a "good" QB he doesnt have the brain nor the talent to play Pro ball you will see him go late first round early second his recivers and running backs make him what he is put him on the Raiders and see what he does.......

He is not getting the attention because he isn't the traditional pocket passer. He isn't a super quick michael vick type either so nfl scouts aren't sure how he'll fare in pros. I think his stock going into the draft will depend alot on his bowl showing especially with how poorly Quinn played.

Troy Smith causes OSU rank #1 since preseason.

Because the college game is a hell of a lot different than the pro game. Plus at his size, he'd get a lot of passes batted down.

LSU would have beaten Ohio State if they had been there instead of Notre Dame. I would however love to see Troy Smith working on a pulp wood truck though.
