Mal Moore (the AD at Bama) has sucessfully made my alma mater the laughing stock of college football. He prematurely fired Mike Shula after winning six games in the SEC with almost no talent. However, not even 12 months ago, he was worthy of a contract extension and pay raise but now, he's not even worthy to be the coach. Hmph!
So Bama crapped on Shula, the concensus was that Bama crapped on Shula and no one in their right mind would take that job after the way he was treated. Why? Bama has consistently showed itself to be a program still drunk of the legacy of the "Bear" and a program not willing to commit to any coach becuase they cannot accept that a coach must build a program and usually cannot win right away.
No one in their right mind except for Nick Saban of course. Isn't it ironic that Bama maps out an 8 year deal and a fat check during the tenure to show that it is willing to be patient and commit to a coach that has NEVER been commited to any program? What do you think?
