Vick just hasn't matured into the quarterback that people all thought. It's too risky to run the ball every down. At some point you need to sit in the pocket and take a hit to get passes completed. He's just not good at sitting in the backfield. People thought he was going to be a good all-around QB like Vince Young is proving to be. Sometimes it just doesn't happen.

Vick can run ... there is no doubt about that. He needs to be good at that since his accuracy is in the crapper and he seems to only rely on Alge Crumpler. The other WRs have dropped a number of passes this season, but there have been more missed route throws by Vick and a huge number of overthrows and underthrows as well. Furthermore, he has struggled against tough defenses that know how to move him to his disadvantage (he still gets worse when pushed to his left). Everyone keeps saying he is the prototypical QB for the next generation ... hmmm, a running QB with low accuracy is not a prototype I want leading my offense. Even if his WRs caught more balls, his QB rating would still be swimming in the sewers.

At times, Vick has shown signs of excellence passing. I think his problem has been receivers dropping the ball. I don't think Elways is available. He hasn't shown an interest in coaching. He needs someone with the passion to coach, as well.

Not sure how well Elway can coach, and even less sure if Elway would want to get away from his many business ventures to coach a QB who may be too set in his habits by now to improve much.

He's just not consistent. It's very important for a team to be able to count on their quarterback, and with Vick, you never know which guy is going to show up.

Let's see:
He gave the Herpes to a girl and told her his name was 'Ron Mexico' (this is why they give a Wonderlic Test during the Combines)
He gave the finger to the ATL fans (Nothing like pissing off your bread-and-butter)
and other than run the ball really well, he hasn't proven he can run an offense, read defenses, or throw with any touch, accuracy, and consistency.
In short, exciting to watch when he's on, but definitely NOT someone to depend on with 2 mins left and you need a drive and a TD to win.

no one hates vick. he's just a bad pocket passer. Who ever is the qb coach for michael vick I think he's doing a bad job coaching him.
I think he will never be a qb like donovan mcnabb. Vick accuracy sucks

I just have to say that my son adores Michael Vick & there's no hate in my home for him. I really hadn't watched him play until he became such a big fan & what I've seen of him, he's pretty awesome. He's got some good moves. I'd watch him play anyday~
