Bobby Petrino had a 10 year $25 million contract with Louisville. He repeatedly told the media his family loved Louisville, it was his home and he would not consider any other offers. He has just announced that he is leaving to coach the Atlanta Falcons for a 5 yr. $24 million deal. How much money is the happiness of your family worth?

I'm new to the whole American football thing.......I have watched it, listened to it on the radio & my hubby has tried to explain it to me, but I just cant grasp it! I think he's not a good explainer ...(my excuse anyway!) so anyone have tips for me? any football for dummies manual around?

I heard that the ball that was snapped was a new football that Romo hasn't held before, resulting in the drop, and, loss. It's some kind of new "kicking" football that's a prototype that only some teams have been using. Any other news about this?

What do the think the chances are that Bill Cowher will take a year away from the game and then replace Parcells as the Cowboy's head coach? Parcells may or may not return for 2007, but I think he'll coach one more year and then retire. Thoughts?

I know that Every team has its rivals, and every fan has teams that they like and teams that they dislike but I am just curious about what others think on this question. I live in Colorado, and I am a Cowboys fan. It seems like almost all my friends, which are Broncos fans, hate the Cowboys. They never mention any other team except for the Raiders and the Chiefs and thats only because the Broncos, Raiders and Chiefs are rivals. Id probably like the Broncos a little more since i live in the same state if the fans werent so neagative towards the Cowboys. Is it because Dallas beat Denver in Super Bowl 12? If so, that doesnt make any sense considering the Redskins beat them 42-10 in '88 and then in '90, they got beat 55-10 by the 9'ers. Just a question Ive had for a while.

was it just me who was ready to commit mass murder after the 'boys lost because of Romo's FG snap bobble? You cant really put ALL the blame on him, i mean it all happened so fast and with all that pressure it can be hard, but still..He should have held on to it after he got tackled.

does anyone else hate him? he claims he left LSU to coach miami because he had done everything he wanted for college football. he said he was a new opportunity. now we know he just did it for the money. the only reason he took the alabama job is because of his ego. he sucked with miami and he'll suck with alabama. no matter what coach alabama has they'll still suck.

Is it just me or did the ref's seem one sided in the Eagles/Giants game. Seemed every time the Giants needed a call they got one, i.e. Tiki's spot and Plaxico's Pass Interference. Possible the NFL wanted a Giants win. I know the Eagles won but come on that was sucky refing.
