I heard that the ball that was snapped was a new football that Romo hasn't held before, resulting in the drop, and, loss. It's some kind of new "kicking" football that's a prototype that only some teams have been using. Any other news about this?

No.
Kickers are allowed to use different balls from the ones that are used for the QB's in the game.
It is a little smaller and is less used so it could have been a little slick. it is a smaller ball than the one he was holding all game.
still no excuse as he has been practiceing that for 3 years now.

No, Kickers do not use a different ball, they use the same as the game ball but there is a differnce before the refs put a new ball in the game the ball boy wipes it down so it isnt slick and after using it for a couple downs it becomes even more worn down and has more grip.. now kickers use brand new balls that are not wiped down and slick.. thats where they get the name "kicking footballs" but they are the same footballs everyone uses

It's just another excuse that Dallas is using. I find it funny face it the Cowboy's golden boy choked. That's all it was if he can't handle the pressure then he is in the wrong sport. I understand that he was down that he screwed up but he could have at least took it on the chin and congratulated the other team. He just held his head down and walked off the field. He should be ashamed not of his mishandled hold but of his actions after the game was over.

No thats an excuse he had the chance to hold it he just wasn't focused and missed it. i mean look at the bengals that so made me mad(bengals fan) and thats probably going to be an excuse for romo the thing is he should have caught the snap right he messed up and the cowboys are out. thank god, they suck i bet the bengals could even beat them

it was so shiny it looked like it was all oiled up , but romo gets paid to make plays and he didnt do his job , i do feel bad for the rookie but it wasnt just his fault they lost , if they didnt have the safty the wouldnt have had anything to worry about , and to's dropped passes and ... well you get the pic

i think it was just an unconditioned ball...alot of the balls are like sanded..so you have some form of grip on it...and on the reply they were pointing out how shining and new the ball looked...said it looked unconditioned...but im not sure if it was a prototype ball..

OMG! Where did you get this rumor from? Sounds Like A load of BS! If that were the case, I think they would have practiced with them more often, or not used it in this situation. What point are you trying to make with this question anyway?

Was it raining or something? I don't think so. A lineman could've done a better job of holding the damn ball. No excuse. PERIOD!
