What do the think the chances are that Bill Cowher will take a year away from the game and then replace Parcells as the Cowboy's head coach? Parcells may or may not return for 2007, but I think he'll coach one more year and then retire. Thoughts?

Steeler fan.. I dont think so he will not coach again until after his
youngest daughter graduates from from high school she is
in tenth grade
A friend of mine is Bills next door neighbor in Crafton , Pa
Told me he got it from a very good source That Cowhers
wife gave him an ultimatum Football or her and family.
She has lived all year in Raleigh N.C. and he has lived
here all season.
He will return to coaching in 3 years but not with the
Steelers . The Rooneys will not just hire an interimin
coach , We will really miss him.

I don't think so. Cowher will be coaching a southeast team for sure, most likely the Dolphins, the Panther or the Falcons. Two of those teams are looking for coaches, and Cowher wants to stay in North Carolina, close to his family. He may even be coaching next season.

No way.

Cowher spent 15 seasons with the Steeler's organiztion, which is a little crazy to think about in today's game. He is resigning at the top, when he is most respected and most admired as a Steeler. If anything happens he will be engaged in some sort of job in the organization outside of coaching.

its official he is taking a break for a year to spend time with his family so he will be back in 2008. After the chargers win the super bowl this year (obviously!) and Marty Schotheimer will retire i wouldnt be to suprised to see cower taker the chargers organisation over.

That'd be sweet if it happened, but I think Cower 1)really wants the time off for a while and 2) he wouldn't want to put up with Jones' ego and interference

Maybe. However the Cowboys will have competition from the Skins and the Giants for his services.

I don't think Cowher would do that to the Steelers
