Bobby Petrino had a 10 year $25 million contract with Louisville. He repeatedly told the media his family loved Louisville, it was his home and he would not consider any other offers. He has just announced that he is leaving to coach the Atlanta Falcons for a 5 yr. $24 million deal. How much money is the happiness of your family worth?

I think Petrino did a great job and I am grateful that for all that he did. I am just venting because I don't want him to go!

I don't think he's going for the money. Getting to the professional level is the pinnacle of most very coach's career. He has had success at the top college level, now he wants to prove himself at the next level. You can't blame him for that.

A lot more perks coming with the NFL. Plus its legal to pay the players there.

Who knows...money isn't always happiness...Look at Nick Saban...he went from the Dolphins to Alabama...for the same money.

I think once you earn more than $500,000 per year, the money is a moot point...you can do whatever you want.

It must be worth 24 million and Atlanta is not that far from Louisville. This is double the money for him and he would be foolish not to do it.

I say, get as much money as you can. I'm sure his family supported his decision.
