They already had like 50 different uniform options they could wear, and last night they came out with day-glow yellow, flame embossed, "motorcycle" helmets. This along with the tred pattern accents, made these guys look like they got lost on a BMX trail, and ended up on a football field. Are they more concerned with coming up with ugly, modenized uniforms, or winning football games? The next time I see them wear the same uniform, will be the first. Your thoughts?

Here are some real comments Madden has made during games:

"Hey, the offensive linemen are the biggest guys on the field, they're bigger than everybody else, and that's what makes them the biggest guys on the field."

"If you see a defense team with dirt and mud on their backs they've had a bad day."

"Here's a guy, here's a guy who when he puts his contacts in, he can see better"

"90% of the game is half mental"

"Hines ward is kind of sneaky good"

Al: John what do the Vikings need to do to get back into this game?

John: Well Al, to get back into this game...Daunte Culpepper and the Vikings have to get back into this game.

"The team who scores the most points will win the game."

"Well he could either go in hole A or hole B, but the B-hole wasn't open so he went up the ******."

"To get more yards, it's best to move the ball from the line of scrimmage down the field."

"If the quarterback throws the ball in the endzone and it is caught, that's gonna be a touchdown."

"When a guy runs he goes faster."

Pac-10 has won the rose bowl more times than the Big Ten. USC has won the Rose Bowl something like 20 times. If the Pac-10 was so bad as some idiot fans want to say then shouldn't the Pac-10 have a horrible Rose Bowl record? After all historically the Rose Bowl was the grandaddy of them all.

I really respect Brett Favre as a quarterback and a person. But I think it's time for him to retire.

I have really enjoyed (and hated) watching Brett play over the years. He has had some great games against the Bears and I respect him immensely and thats why I want to see him meet his end at Soldier Field. This is how I want to see it: Bears up five points in the closing seconds of the 4th quarter. Favre drops back into the pocket to pass and looks to his right and doesn't see Brian Urlacher rush around behind him from the left and gets hit so hard, his helmet fles into the stands. The crowd first cheers, then grows silent as he lie on the grass motionless besides a slight twitch in his right leg. The ref checks his pulse and looks up at the rest of the Packers and slowly shakes his head and all the players remove their helmets in respect and the crowd cheers as the Packers carry Brett off the field. A picture of him is kept in Soldier Field like Bill the Butcher kept a picture of the priest in Gangs of New York. I think its a good way for him to die. Is that really so bad?

I think any running back would do better than him behind that mammoth o-line. Especially, Mewelde Moore

NFL policy blacks out games for any city within a 90 mile radius of an NFL stadium.

with that in mind, myself, and others here in Canada, have been excluded from watching 4 buffalo games this year.

but you know, i'm not convinced that this is the best way to market their product.

the result of these blackouts is that better games have been televised! instead of watching the Buffalo Jills founder, we have seen priemiere matches in the 1PM EST time slot.

if their goal is to convince canadians that they should get a passport and drive across the border to western new york to watch NFL in person, and to support our so-called "home team", the bills well, this black out is not working..

i'm quite happy to sit at home here in canada and watch such games like NYJ v MIN, and hopefully NE vs JAX, this week, on tv..

anybody else have thoughts on blacking out games. does this really represent what's best for the league's marketing strategy?

When people say "the best team didn't win the superbowl" I think they're wrong, because I define the best team as the superbowl winner. I don't see any other objective way to determine which team is the best. How can you prove which team is the best other than looking to see who won the superbowl?

In order to get best answer....Please forecast who will win and what the final score will be, in case of ties I will give to respondant who answered first, unless you're able to predict something UNUSUAL that happens during the game that comes true (Example: Jeff Garcia throws 4 int's etc...). Whomever is the closest shall win the Fabulous 10 points!!!!!

I'm not just talking about his gameplay; we all know that he is an unbelievable player. I'm talking about his attitude. He has to be the most humble player in anything that I have ever seen. Any time he's been interviewed after a game he talks about how "the team" made the touchdown that HE ran in, and how "they" did it, not HIM. You can't not respect the guy.
