Brett Favre is a football icon. He is tough, driven, and still has the skills to lead the Packers. I would say there are several young starting quarterbacks that wish that had Brett's skills even after 16 years. (Remember he play 1 year for Atlanta) He is the most driven player in the game today. I would love to see Brett Favre play one more year maybe two.

Brett Favre is not as good as he once was, but he is still in the top 10. That means that there are lots of QB's who are worse. I know there is a lot of speculation, but the Packers can use him next year since Rogers got injured. I don't think the Packers would be better off to throw Rogers into the fray immediately. They would be better off if Brett Favre could come back for at least one more year. He does not look too bad to me. Give him a couple more recievers and his production will go way up. There is no smarter or instinctive player in the league.

I think he should retire. Just because he loves doing it the fans are who put money into the Packers. If he stays 1 more season they could lose their revenue. I like Brett, I think he is awesome, but the last couple of years have been tearing him up inside mentally, so he has lost that edge. Better to bow out gracefully, then to tear the Packer's fans, and the team up, and possibly get benched next year half-way into the season.

For the Packers to get any better he needs to retire, Rogers is the future of this organization and Farve just can't let it go. Still Brett is a tremedous QB but he needs to do what's better for the team instead he just wants to beat Dan Marino's record.

No....As long as he wants to keep playing.......He still has alot left in the tank.....and they gave him a little more talent to work with this year compared to last year.......And for all you people that think he is embarrassing himself get real......Or you people that think he is washed up......Come on....Maybe he isn't as fast on his feet as he used to be....But hes still great......Hes one of the few guys in the NFL that really knows how to go for the jugular on teams.........Favre still has the heart and passion for the game.....Last nights game wasn't pretty but his receivers except for Driver sure weren't helping him out.......I love #4 and I'll watch him until whenever he decides to retire.........IF you don't understand why people don't want to let Favre then you don't understand football at all. I think he should play for as long as he wants to as long as he's doing everything he can, which I think he is. There are a lot worse QB's starting for teams right now so it's not like Favre is a bad option at QB. He's not the man he used to be but that's really to be expected at his age.

If Brett Farve wants to hang around for another year that's fine, but not with Green Bay.
Green Bay has first round draft pick Aaron Rodgers just sitting there. Next year will be his 3rd year and it's time for him to be the starter. Green Bay needs to move on and build for the future.

If he goes deep into the playoffs then yes he'll probably retire, but hes still having fun, and if his his teammates and coaches and most importantly his FAMILY still wants or let him play i think YES Favre will be back for another season or TWO!!!!
