Did someone actually call Vick GREAT? Oh its the same person who also said he was an accurate QB....he couldnt hit water if he fell out of a boat...Mike Vick is the most overrated player in the NFL. He has no leadership (as we've seen countless amounts of times), he cant win games period, and he just cant play the position of quarterback. He plays the position like a running back, which you cant do in the NFL. High school you can get away with it, college you can get away with it, but in the NFL you cant. His main problem is the fact that he forces passes. Why? Because he decides "Oh I'm gonna run for 50 yards" and when the hole closes up he is forced to pass the ball. The man is an athlete, I will give him that, he is a remarkable athlete, but he is not a quarterback. Until he can learn the thing that all other scrambling quarterbacks (see John Elway, Steve Young, Donovan McNabb) have learned, he cannot be a good NFL quarterback. Pass first, run if needed. He needs that mentality.
After he finally does decide to learn that, then there is the problem of his arm. He has a cannon, he can launch the ball as far as I've ever seen it thrown before, but God he couldnt hit a billboard 10 feet in front of him. He has absolutely no touch, sooner or later you have to realize you cant just launch a 90mph fastball into a WR's gut every time, it just doesnt work. And everyone blames his WR's, how would you feel catching a football coming at you at 85+mph from 10 feet away? Give me a break
Mike Vick is the downfall of the Falcons, they will not be successful with him there. Unfortunately for Falcons fans, he brings in money so management is willing to give up wins for more cash.
And for everyone else's arguments....
His line is not that bad if Warrick Dunn can be productive there, his WR's suck, but eventually you gotta look at the quarterback, what kind of WR is going to want to come to a team that doesnt pass?
And unfortunately his talent would go to waste at any other position. He cant hold onto the ball (see fumbles...career) so he cant play RB, and he's not big enough to be a WR or defensive back. Can anyone say NFL Europe?

No, I don't think he is overrated at all. I think his style of play is not the best for the NFL. Atlanta has a good team but not the greatest. If he had a better O line he could stand in the pocket more and more. He is as accurate as most QB in the Game. Pluse his running, its hard to stop him. I say but some bigger pads on him and start him and RB position. He would be able to do much more damage. He is Fast and has great hands to catch, he just has to learn to tuck the ball under his arm to stop from fumbling. Michael Vick is a Great QB with not So great Team.

Its is a hard question to answer. I don't know how many other QB's would have success with the offense he has. The offensive line is average at best. If his line was a little better it would be easier to know for sure how good he is. For example if Vick played for the Eagles I think he would be in the Pro Bowl.

Yes very overrated. If he would allow others to play too he could be one of the best all time QB's but i do not ever see that happening

He could be everything the media says he is if he just learned to be himself. If he just played his own game and didn't worry about what everyone says he would be a much better player. Too bad for him that he's a moron because everytime something doesn't go his way he does something stupid. As for now, yes, way overrated.

As a QB...absolutely, he will never be even an above average QB in the NFL
As a athlete in general...No. Atlanta is missing the boat not using Vick where his talents would be best suited...as a RB/WR/PR/KR.......his talent does not lie in being a QB

Overrated in which way? He is a good athlete but the worst team leader. I think he has yet to find a coach that can use his abilities to the fullest.

as a qb i would have to say hell yeah beyond a shadow of a doubt he's more of a runningback then a qb and he's overrated due to the fact that people talk about his bigtime playmaking abilities and his lack of qb skills so overall yes he's overrated
