I had this arguement with a friend last night. I think he's washed up and his last fight with Peter proved it. I think he should call it quits.

Light Heavyweights. Who would win?

2007-01-23 18:54:05 · 9 answers · asked by gman 6

who would win rocky marciano or mike tyson in their prime?
i think tyson would have finished marciano in the first roiund if not the second. marciano had great power, heart and stamina but lacked in defence.
tyson had excellent power and speed that alone would really give rocky trouble quick. if rocky could handle tysons punches then yea he sure has a good chance but i doubt it.

Any thoughts on who the winner would be? Based on Castillo's performance Hatton should be the favorite. Both are experienced and each have been champions, Hatton being a current champion. It should be a very good fight as I think Castillo won't have any problems getting up for this one and Hatton always gives a 100%.

I have seen and heard some interviews this morning with well respected American fight fans such as Steve "Crocodile" Fitch, Bob Arum (i know he has vested interest in Hatton), Mike McCallum, and even Mayweather Sr was saying nice things about him, are any Americans on the forum warming to him yet.

Boxing is becoming boring, with weak boxers and the title changing hands all the time. When do you think we'll see the next Holyfield, Lewis, Spinks, Holmes..etc. (Didn't list anyone from too long ago- too obvious)?

I have been bodybuilding and training in mixed martial arts, I can punch about twice as hard as before I was doin g these things.

However I am wondering if anyone knows the actual muscles involved in punching.

I think you use your triceps and shoulder muscles.
