who would win rocky marciano or mike tyson in their prime?
i think tyson would have finished marciano in the first roiund if not the second. marciano had great power,heart and stamina but lacked in defence.
tyson had excellent power and speed that alone would really give rocky trouble quick. if rocky could handle tysons punches then yea he sure has a good chance but i doubt it.

I don't really care much about boxing, but chicken sound better than rock anyday for dinner. Especially Tyson roast chicken. It's a winner to me.

It's gonna be Tyson in less than 3 rounds! See, both these guys are brawlers with knockout power in both fists. They're about the same size though Tyson is more muscular and powerfully built (thanks to weight training which was not in vogue in Rocky's era). But Tyson is definitely faster than Marciano. He's got quick hands and feet and can unleash dozens of combinations in seconds. Tyson also throws his punches correctly, that is, short and crisp. Lastly, Mike has a pretty good defense, with his peek-a-boo stance and good head movement. Marciano, on the other hand throws wild swinging punches and has no defense. Also, he gets cut too easily, which could lead to an early stoppage.
It will be a brawl from the opening bell, with Tyson getting the better of the exchanges because of his speed and quickness and don't forget, his dirty tricks. If Rocky doesn't fall in the first, he'll surely be a bloody mess by the second and the ref might just intervene.

The question should be could Tyson handle Marciano's punches. Rocky had teriffic power in either hand and had a better defense than he has been given credit for able to roll with punches get into a very low crouch until he got inside then he would work over the body. He broke blood vessels in LaStarza's arms and Rocky could knock you out in the first round or the last as he had amazing endurance and stamina. He also could take a better punch than Mike. Rocky would endure the early rounds with Mike and trade evenly until about the 9th round when he would land his famous Suzie Q right hand on the jaw of Tyson who would not beat the count.

Tyson in his prime was faster than any other fighter that Marciano could would and had seen at that time. Tyson had power to match Marciano's but I'm not sure Marciano's chin could have taken the beating. Both fighters came at a calm period of heavyweight champs. THey both came in and "put the giants to sleep" so to speak. Ironically the man who won the belt that Marciano left upon his retirement had the same trainer as Tyson.

TYSON WAS A GREAT FIGHTER IS HIS ERA AND WAS A GREAT PUNCHER. HE DID NOT HAVE FRAZIER' S HEART. HE HAD A DECENT WILL AND A GOOD CHIN. HIS HAND SPEED IS AS A GOOD AS ANY HVY WT EVER.
MARCIANO WAS AN ALL-TIME GREAT CHAMPION. HE WAS A GREAT FIGHTER/PUNCHER WITH A GREAT CHIN/WILL. HE COULD BE CONSIDERED SOMEWHAT OVERRATED BECAUSE THE GREAT FIGHTERS HE FOUGHT WERE OVER THE HILL.
IF THIS MATCH OCCURS IN THE PRESENT ERA, TYSON HAS A GOOD CHANCE. MARCIANO WAS PRONE TO CUTS. IF HE WAS CUT BAD IN A BOUT AGAINST TYSON, THEN THERE IS A STRONG CHANCE THAT THE FIGHT COULD BE STOPPED.

well, let's take look on rocky's time....and his win loss record is about 62 - 0 with 51 winning coming by way of knock out...this great guy has not been loss of his entire career....he is one of my idol, he is the only fighter to retired of not been lost...
i know that tyson is also a great guy and has a tremendous power punch...and speaking of power...rocky had won over 60 fighters of his career...he have so many experienced compiting of all champions... but tyson has a weakness...note that most of his winnings has not above round 5....he lacks of stamina....he lost to evander hollyfield twice....and he lost to lenox lewis, stoping him in round 8...i dont believe tyson can stop rocky in first 4 rounds...after round 5 tyson is tired...his power becomes futile...
so i predicted the fight that rocky will knock-out tyson in round 8....
