I have seen and heard some interviews this morning with well respected American fight fans such as Steve "Crocodile" Fitch, Bob Arum (i know he has vested interest in Hatton), Mike McCallum, and even Mayweather Sr was saying nice things about him, are any Americans on the forum warming to him yet.

From what i have heard and seen on TV the Mexicans love Hatton's style of fighting and have even heard the term "White Mexican" banded about in some interviews about Hatton. Hatton has also struck up a close freindship with Marco Antonio Barrera, i would suggest the Mexican people have warmed to Hatton a lot quicker than the American public as he has a simular fighting style to a lot of their own fighters.

Yes, most americans love Ricky hatton. Mexican fans don't because they see him as a threat. Look how the mexicans disrespect the pacman......Hopefully hatton will be the next pacman.

el teke you must be joking right? Hatton at this point in his career will administer a beatdown on Castillo. There isn't a mexican in Hatton's weight range that can give him a good fight except for maybe Juan Diaz.

Pure boxing fans for the most part respect and want to see Hatton fight. The casual fans will be a hard sell for Hatton. Hatton does too much holding and doesn't have enough power for the casual fan to be interested. The boxing fan though admires the technical skills and body work

Mexicans don't see him as threat by any means. In fact they see Hatton as a target. I hope Hatton doesn't pull a Pretty Boy "Fraud" Mayweather and begins to duck Jose Luis Castillo. That would be a pretty good fight.

I'm starting to get interested to see what it will take for someone to beat him at light welterweight. I haven't watched Castillo much in the past, but based on their last fights I think Hatton would beat him. Hatton will be very tough to beat, and their could be some great fights in the future.

Hatton is looking better in my eyes. Am I convinced? Not yet.

ADDITION - The Don obviuosly has no clue. Mexican fans are embracing the Hitman. He has exposed himself as one who lacks knowledge of the sweet science.
