Boxing is becoming boring, with weak boxers and the title changing hands all the time. When do you think we'll see the next Holyfield, Lewis, Spinks, Holmes..etc. (Didn't list anyone from too long ago- too obvious)?

The reason why boxing has become so boring is that other sports are willing to pay more money. There are still athletes hitting the gym to go a few rounds but the majority of athletes are on a B-Ball court or Football field knowing when they make it, there's a big payday waiting for them...with a signing bonus!

Plus other sports are starting to take off were gladiators go and battle...like Ultimate Fighting. Where you can showcase all your skillz from Karate to wrestling to boxing to straight up brawling. And the money is starting to filter in which will attract more athletes. Unfortunately, boxing is a dieing sport.

Boxing is not the same way it has been years ago, it evolved, and so have its fighters. I am not a big fan of heavyweight boxing anymore as the prospects just don't display much skill or endurance, just plain old brute, but Vitali and Vladimir Klitschko are interesting to watch. Great question!

Russians and Africans are your best candidates right now. They are poor. Boxing is a poor urban sport. Ghetto America will still have their guys. Champions are physically gifted and/or have tremendous character and heart. Doesn't mean they are great guys. The next great champ could come from anywhere. There could even be ten of them.

Yeah, the heavyweight division in boxing is in a sad state right now. I've not heard of any young up and comers. I am a big fan of boxing's lower weights. There is a ton of talent and great fighters such as Manny Pac, Mayweather Jr., Marco Antonio Barrera, etc. who are very exciting to watch box.

Dick - I don't see any in the foreseeable future. The Don lives in a fantasy world. Those he listed are contenders/champions because the division is weak. They LACK CHARISMA, therefore they are not marketable. Unfortunately that counts for a lot in the sport of boxing.
