I just can't buy into Zo's inspirational comeback from kidney disease to NBA titlist with the Heat last season. Not when he essentially escaped to Miami with $22 million of Nets and Raptors money after essentially refusing to play with both. When the Nets -- who brought Mourning back into the league following an illness-related, one-season absence and waited for him after he underwent a kidney transplant -- started the '04-05 season sluggishly in the wake of allowing Kenyon Martin to depart to Denver as a free agent, Zo, a team veteran for all of 30 games, openly complained and said he stopped caring about playing for the team, eventually prompting a trade to Toronto. After Mourning refused to report to the Raptors, he was released with a $9 million buyout of his remaining deal, freeing him to pursue his title dreams back in Miami. The NBA is a business i guess. He played like a man possessed last year, but now that he's finally got a ring he's just slacking off.
