LeBron is better - hands down. Last yr he had a higher Efficiency rating, higher FG%, more Rebounds, more Assists, more And 1's (he lead the NBA in And 1's last season), and his Assist-to-Turnover Ratio was MUCH better than kobe's. This season isn't even close. LeBron leads Kobe in almost every category. Also, last yr wasn't Kobe's best year statistically. The '02-'03 year was his best statistically. One scoring title isn't all it's cracked up to be, otherwise Dominique Wilkins would be considered a greater player than Larry Bird or Magic Johnson. I'm sorry to break any hearts out there, but that's obviously not the case.

I don't want to hear about LeBron having more talent. What has Larry Hughes ever done without a star around him? Larry Hughes is just a solid NBA player. If he were to go to a poor franchise, he would only minimally change things. LeBron doesn't even have a true PF there. Drew Gooden has small hands, and for every ferocious dunk he occasionally throws down, he fades away about 30 times.

If LeBron had Lamar Odom (6'10, long arms, who drives and explodes to the basket with or without the ball) he'd bump up his assist avg by about 1.5-2 per game.

Lastly, how many PLAYOFF SERIES has Kobe won without Shaq? ZERO. Kobe went from a "similar game to Jordan's", to basically a perimeter/jump shooting 2 guard after Shaq left. The lanes were no longer open with double and TRIPLE teams down low, without Shaq. Even when Shaq doesn't have the ball someone is CONSTANTLY looking to double him, once he gets the ball. Look at Penny, Kobe, and Wade's FG%'s with Shaq, and then look at them without Shaq. It'll take a while but go to the cumulative stats, under career stats, at nba.com. Shaq is the "Guard Maker." LeBron won't be better than Kobe in a few years like I've been hearing. He's already better than Kobe.

LeBron James doesn't have the experience Kobe Bryant has, so for now, Kobe Bryant is "better."

It's like a Father and son situation. Kobe isn't ready to hand the torch down yet. Lebron right now is second to Kobe.

Kobe has the championship rings. Lebron can make the players around him better. Hard to say who is better.

Lebron cant play good defense. Kobe hits more buzzer beaters and can score at any time. Kobe doesnt pass the ball to his team mates because they need more practice to be a better shooter.
