No, Lamar Odom is the best forward on the Lakers. BCook is a good long range shooter, he'll block the occasional shot, is an average rebounder, and he'll take a charge whenever he can. His defense is improved over his first 2 years, but it's not great. He's a pretty solid player. Not quite starter material, but he has shown that every season, he'll work on something new to add to his game.

Brian Cook is not your typical power forward as he would rather play in the perimeter and shoot jumpers rather than mix it up with the big boys inside the paint. Cook recently got an extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, so he should be with the team as they continue to rebuild.

Cook is currently the third forward off the bench for the Lakers after Kwame Brown and Ronny Turiaf (Lamar Odom and Luke Walton start at forward for LA). Overall, due to the stellar play of Andrew Bynum as well as the depth in the forward position, Brian Cook has very little opportunity to show what he can do.

Hope this helps.

Eventually he will be good, but he needs to work on a lot of things. He does have a nice shot, but poor dribbling skills, that is what makes lamar odom so much better than him
