You are a point guard huh?

So was I in school. I heard that steve nash used to dribble a tennis ball around school, a great way to practice not looking at the ball. And it helps you stay low.

Play on street courts. with guys that play rough. guys better than you. watch how they protect the ball. you should always have yourself between the ball and the defender.

As for shooting, when you shoot around, practice game shots. dribbling between the two guards in the 2-3 zone and hitting that in between shot. Practice running one handers and lob shots. Visualize where people will be when you shoot.

Want to see the prototype point guard, look at old tapes of Isaiah Thomas.

for keeping your head up there are a special type of goggles that keep you from looking down at the ball.....to get low do wall sits with your hands in a shooting position for like 3 minutes...and shooting get a backward rotation on the ball so it will spin into the basket.

the best way to practice basketball is to go with a friend a play one on one with a friend because you can work on the skills that you need to work on and also, you can practice your shooting as well.

how i train my fren is.. we r on a handicap match... 2 to 1... as in 2 player wif a pt guard.. this train alot.. and the best is.. pt guard doesnt juz stay there.. have to go ard... if lets say its a 1 to 1 match... doesnt train much too... keep ur body semi low wif ur power hand up to stress the person attackin u... and ur least use hand and a shield guard to prevent them to roll over ur side and score... watch more games.. and try to do the trick in it.. most important is..
