My first dog, Kobe, died a while ago. We got a new dog and I decided I would give him a famous NBA name. You know, like the first name of a famous player that is unique enough to not spell out the whole name to know it. For example, I wouldn't name my dog "Michael" or "Jordan" because nobody would get it. Any good suggestions? So far I have LeBron, and that's it. And I'm not really sure if I should call him that.

I put this in basketball because, you know, people here would probably know a name or two.

Or should they do just like the Rep. of Mongolia or the Commonwealth of Vanuatu and chose not to participate because they, just like USA, consider themselves far too good for the the rest of the world???

Should USA please us with its participation, do you think USA can win anything relevant, like Olympics or FIBA World Cup at least once in the next 1000 yrs??

Kobe Bryant will be wearing #24 jersey starting this season instead the usual #8.
#24 jersey is his jersey back in his high school days.

Yesterday, everyone was quick and anxious to bash the USA after they lost to a very good Greece team. Where is the praise for them today? Since many USA fans abandoned them b/c they couldn't win the gold, in a sense, they had no reason to put forth any effort. Instead, they came out and out-hustled and out-played an Argentina team that is stocked with some of the world's best players. So, do any of you Americans out there have small enough egos to congratulate Team USA on their win today?

not only their country but also their honor, their association their team...
because now evry stupid one will think that the level of the NBA is equal to any ligue in europe and the NBA players dose not deserve their salary after a eurpean team with with all the players who play in europe beat a full NBA team.
