Supposedly isn´t the U.S who says that everytime an american team wins the NBA (only "National" Basketball Association), Finals crowns themselves World Champions?

But, what really happens when they actually play against the rest of the world?... In the FIBA (Federation the INTERNATIONAL of Basketball Association)…

no, a bronze is not good.

however, I think the US international team is finally moving in the right direction.

They need someone who can shoot the jumper. Michael Redd needs to be on this time

i've always been wary of single elimination games since a more superior team can have an off night and lose....given the less accurate shooting percentages of the usa team their loss of only 6 points was an indication of their superior talent...they were outshot 62 to 50 percent and only sank 59% from the free throw line...i really think fiba should change the single elimination format for the semis and finals so fluke winners would be more far-fetched...best of three would make the americans probable winners in their recent losses in the international scene

The U.S.A. was only 6th in 2002. We should be better as the USA, but our problem is we are being beat by better "teams". OUR teams are made up of super stars who are used to being the only player on the court. We are losing to real TEAMs with team players.
Another problem is our teams are put together two to three weeks before these competitions and have not learned how to play WITH each other as opposed to in competition with each other.

You should be happy for that bronze medal man! You could have done worse, like 4 years ago!

PS: Why did you have to ask this question 4 times!!??
