Supposedly isn´t the U.S who says that everytime an american team wins the NBA (only "National" Basketball Association), Finals crowns themselves World Champions?
But, what really happens when they actually play against the rest of the world?... In the FIBA (Federation the INTERNATIONAL of Basketball Association)…

No, obviously they were going for the gold, the bronze is disapointing.

While it is clearly not as good as gold or silver, a bronze medal is still good when you consider the other option...nothing. The rest of the world is very good at FIBA style basketball. USA still has the best talent, but basketball is about more than talent. If the tourney was played by NBA rules, the games wouldn't even be close. I make that assertion based on the fact that even though the USA was unfamiliar with FIBA style ball, they only lost by 5 points, and in previous games they were beating teams by anywhere from 25 to 40 points. Upsets happen at all levels of basketball from the playgrounds to the professional levels.

Sorry, not quite sure what you're asking. Do you mean if the US plays international they would not seem so good?
I think you have the best basketball players in the world

a medal is better than nothin, but i felt that America could have won the gold if they play jus a little bit better against greece. they have off days. they ended beating Argentina by 15 so America is still the top team in the tornament.

no, a bronze is not good.
however, I think the US international team is finally moving in the right direction.
They need someone who can shoot the jumper. Michael Redd needs to be on this time

Considering some of our greatest players were not their we kicked butt. We just sent out the rookies because we knew they could handle it. All our old school champs stayed home and are getting ready for the season.
