I mean where'd all the Allen Iverson fans go? Now everyone's talking about LBJ D-Wade and Nash. The only talk you here of AI these days is him possibly getting traded to the Boston Celtics. And they mention it like it's nothing ground-breaking. I MEAN COME ON! AI has the highest career points average among active players...and the THIRD HIGHEST ALL TIME only to Michael Jordon and Wilt Chamberlain. Is the player that was once the most popular player in the NBA now UNDERRATED?!

You can't call AI a ballhog anymore than you can Dwyane Wade. AI averaged more assists. AI finished second in scoring only to Kobe. Six more points than D-Wade. So, what exactly has AI got that D-Wade doesn't. Obviously it's something...

Personally, I think anyone off the street could do a better job.

First of all, I'd try to offload as many players as I could for expiring contracts.

Then, I'd trade some of the bigger names to teams that need them for 2 or 3 players that would complement the team. I don't know...Steve Francis to Philly for Dalembert and Korver...I didn't do the CBA math, but you get the point...Philly wouldn't be crazy enough to do that though.

I don't think it would be that hard to make this team half-decent, but with an idiot like Isaiah...anything can happen.

What are your suggestions?

If he does, it most likely won't be by the Pistons.

The likely contender appears to be the Bulls. While I feel Ben does deserve a nice chunk of change thanks to his role in helping the Pistons on all those championship runs, I think he's not worth a max contract over a long period of time. He is declining, his wrist is mangled, making it hard for him to shoot free throws(this has been documented) and his offensive skills are horrible.

If Chicago does this, will this be one of the worst sports moves of all time?

Allen Iverson getting traded....

By Stephen A. Smith
Inquirer Columnist

Specifically, Allen Iverson wants out of Philadelphia. Unless the Sixers get a credible team on the floor. Preferably now! Several sources confirmed yesterday that Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, met with Sixers president and general manager Billy King on Friday.

Iverson, although happy with some parts of the team, is far from excited about the roster presently assembled. He isn't happy about being part of a rebuilding project in his ninth season in the league.

"He wants to win now," one source close to Iverson said. "This is not about him being interested in leaving the Sixers or the fans in Philadelphia. He loves it here and loves being here. But the bottom line is that he doesn't want to be here if this team isn't trying to win right now.

if so who would take him?

have you noticed only a few white dudes are still playing in the NBA? white men can't jump or something to that effect? also the majority of "superstars" are black? except for the few and extremely talented white guys?? comments pls.

He's been averaging 25+ pts a game, 13+ reb per game, and 5+ assists per game...and about 1-2 blocks per game...

FOR HIS ENTIRE CAREER! Excluding his first year...every player struggles rookie year....even MJ did.

So is it me? Or does Kevin Garnett deserve to at LEAST be a nominee for "best basketball player" at the Espy's along with Dwayne Wade...AT LEAST a nomination! COME ON!
