He's been averaging 25+ pts a game, 13+ reb per game, and 5+ assists per game...and about 1-2 blocks per game...
FOR HIS ENTIRE CAREER! Excluding his first year...every player struggles rookie year....even MJ did.
So is it me? Or does Kevin Garnett deserve to at LEAST be a nominee for "best basketball player" at the Espy's along with Dwayne Wade...AT LEAST a nomination! COME ON!

K.G. is an incredible fantasy player, and I think that everyone has become so accustomed to his incredible stats that when they drop a tiny bit he gets criticism. If he was surrounded by some good players things would be totally different. His game isn't quite as exciting as Dwyane Wade's...he has more of a quiet game.
This being said, I think that Kevin Garnett would be on another level if he could be surrounded by some great players and make it to the Finals. Unless his team makes it to the finals, K.G. is never going to be as popular as Shaq, D-Wade, Kobe, or others.

I think that he is one of the most underrated players in the nba......i agree with you.....some of my friends say he isn't anything special becuase he's never been a champion. The stats he puts up are amazing, he can play 3 diffrerent positions SF, PF, and C., sometimes he can even play SG!!!!!!that's incredible. He will be a champion at some point. He did struggle his first year but he came out of High School!!! Kevin Garnett is the best all around player in the NBA, mark my words, he will be a champion.

sadly this is true. award shows like the espys only focus on the hot player that year or the best player on the best team. it is injustice. same thing can be said about pau gasol. he single handedly carried his team to the playoffs and what does he ahve to show for it. nothing!!! just so you know i like dwayne wade but i believe you have to give credit where credit is due and these men are getting none. if they were on championship staus teams they would be finals mvps nad espy nominees and not dwayne wade.

KG deserves a nominee, even though he hasn't shined for the past years. EX: If you look on NBA games, u see that his overall is 99 for a reason, hes a very dominant player, although he is not the "best player", he's still good.

The Timberwolves suck. Maybe if KG saved his team from an 0-2 deficit and came back to win a ring, then maybe I would consider him. But as of now, all he is is just a really good individual player.

those r his individual stats...it didnt matter that mj struggled with points or assists his rookie year cuz he made his team better by communicating....all kg does is think he's the **** and does not help his team win one bit

i think kg is the best power forward in the league. the timberwolves cant put trash around him and expect him to step up for the championship. then espn and fox kill him i say let them then minnesota can get rid of him he will win and throw it back in their face. minnesota should build around him but they wont maybe its time for new management
