Allen Iverson getting traded....

By Stephen A. Smith
Inquirer Columnist

Specifically, Allen Iverson wants out of Philadelphia. Unless the Sixers get a credible team on the floor. Preferably now! Several sources confirmed yesterday that Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, met with Sixers president and general manager Billy King on Friday.

Iverson, although happy with some parts of the team, is far from excited about the roster presently assembled. He isn't happy about being part of a rebuilding project in his ninth season in the league.

"He wants to win now," one source close to Iverson said. "This is not about him being interested in leaving the Sixers or the fans in Philadelphia. He loves it here and loves being here. But the bottom line is that he doesn't want to be here if this team isn't trying to win right now.

if so who would take him?

The Miami Heat are probably the team in the NBA with the LEAST chance of getting AI. Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson absolutely COULD NOT co-exist. The Celtics currently have the best chance of getting him. Other teams that have a chance: Utah, Minnesota, Cleveland...you might even throw in the New York Knicks for good measure...you know Isiah is willing to spend good money any day of the week.

There are rumors of him going to Boston. I don't think that would be too terrible of a fit. It's hard to find a team for AI to really fit with. Who really thought Vince would fit perfectly in New Jersey. Not many people but hes flourished there. I think out of the rumored places Boston would probably be the best fit. Paul Pierce isn't a ballhog so I think they'd be able to play well together. To whoever said the Raptors got Andrew Morrison, don't ever post anything on here again pretending to know what you're taking about. They drafted Andrea Bargnani and the Morrison you're talking about is Adam who went to Charlotte. Also considering they just got a heck of a point guard in T.J. Ford, no that wouldn't work.

confident Allen Iverson would be traded. The commerce ought to come down via Thursday. i'm friends with a guy who works for the NBA. and human beings are asserting communities like: Boston, Minnesota, manhattan, l. a. Clippers, and Golden State, and Sacermento. the only communities that have contacted the 76ers are right here: Boston, l. a. Clippers, and Sacermento. This iwll probally be a three way commerce. via salaries. wanting to be close together. A deal will probally be completed via Thursday.

The Hawks are the most likely- they would have to sign and trade Al Harrington and someone else to Philly for AI-

Boston has been thrown into the mix- but it is said the deal would only happen if their was a 3 way deal because Philly only wants Paul Pierce who is not available-

another option is Golden State- looking to rebuild and have prime bait in Baron Davis, Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy-

But if I had to choose 1 I'd like to see Iverson wearin the green next year- Go Celts!

He'll go to any team with a shot at the title. His days are numbered and he wants to go out a winner. Dallas or Miami will end up with him. Boston thinks they will get him but they don't have a chance. 76ers suck and will for the next 20 years. Actually all Philadelphia teams suck and it's a shame. the 4th largest market in sports and they can't put a winner on the field in any sport. They brake my heart year after year.

I think miami may trade shaq for ai because THe coach said they need a more efective big man with experiance so that would be the perfect trade and allen iverson and wade can co exist why the both drive and wade is the perfect passer

Oh! I'd like him to be a part of KG's team or to Shaq's team. Go AI. you'll soon earn your nba ring sooner. Go out of 76ers now. find another team with much caliber to win a championship. Good luck.

Al should trade to New York Knicks that they wants him. But they has many guards are Steve Francis, Marbury, Rose, Faye. They should have enough guards and forwards.

The Suns can use his talent. Then Nash has another excellent player to pass the ball to. But the Knicks need to make up for their big mistake in the draft.
