Baseball - April 2007

The Red-Sox swept the Yanks at home for the first time in 18 or so years and Beckett goes 5-0 in april making him the 3rd in Sox history to do so (Ruth, Pedro). So Red-Sox Nation, I ask you this. Are you ready for another Championship Parade down Yawkey Way?

A.J. Burnett dominated the struggling Yankees and outclassed their prized prospect, rookie right hand hurler Phil Hughes on the mound on thursday (April26), sending last-place New York to its sixth straight loss by pitching the Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-0 victory Thursday night.

The N.Y. Yankees are in last place and probably going nowhere fast. Jason Giambi has been sending text messages to Roger Clemens..."WHEN ARE YOU COMING!"

Considering the poor state of affairs the Yankees are in, would it matter if Roger Clemens came back to N.Y?

And, would it be wise for the Houston Astro's, who are also struggling in the NL Central, to give up the 45 year old "Rocket", Roger Clemens?

Would it be worth it for George Steinbrenner to open his bank account considering Mike Mussina is on the DL list (hamstring) as is Carl Pavano (forearm) and go after the "Rocket"...?

Is the fat lady warming up in the NY Yankee dugout...?

Would it be easier to construct a shed/shack scoreboard that a scorekeeper could sit in the whole game, like at Fenway? Gotta love America's Pastime.

Talk about Don Imus, I went to a baseball game saturday and the third baseman at Alabama Southern College was shouting racial slurs at the opossing team during a double
header, is that right or does it just show what a poor coaching
staff Alabama Southern has .

HGH is known to increase the length of time an athlete is able to be effective at a particular sport, without causing massive gains in muscle size the way steroids do. If you look at the records, there are more 40 year old players in the game today than ever before, and I believe this is primarily due to the use of HGH.

HGH is either not being tested for by MLB, or there are forms undetectable by traditional tests.

If Bonds is considered to be a prime candidate for the use of steroids, who happens to be chasing a personal mlestone, why then is Biggio not considered a prime candidate for HGH use who is also chasing a personal milestone.

I ask this because of the Astros recent performances. They have the potential to score runs with Ensberg, Berkman, Lee, Scott, and Lane, but they just can't seem to score. All of these guys can hit at least 25 homeruns a season and their bats need to wake up.

Pete Rose - He gambled and betrayed the game of baseball after "SIGNING" an agreement that stated he would never do such a thing. He then lied repeatedly about not doing it. He was later banned from the game of baseball for life.
( Just for those that are still asking, NO! Pete Rose will never enter a foot into the hall of fame so get over it. )

Mark McGwire - He used steroids and illegal substances all but two years of his "ENTIRE" f***ing career which at this point all but a lie and bs, yet you want to see this man in the hall of fame. Why ? Here is the biggest loser, cheater, and coward of them all and he still gets support? WTF? Sorry to hurt your feelings but he's not going into the hall of fame either,
so get over it.

Barry Bonds - He used steroids for 2 to 3 years at the most if that and you label him a cheater and you use him as an excuse to say that steroid is ruining the game. If you want to hate Bonds let it be because he was such and a@@hole to his teammates, baseball, and to fans and not be because you have some hidden racial issues.
