Honestly by the time it's all over, I think it is going to be Pujols. There is no precedent for his performance over the first six years of his career. He is slated to hit 500 HR by age 33, and is already 2nd on the Cardinals all-time list. It is certainly the greatest six year run in Cardinals history.

Stan Musial is a tough out in this category, but it would take a catastrophic injury for Pujols not to outshine him.

Lets not forget Dave Foutz, who notched 25 wins and 108 RBI in 1887, before switching to full time position for the much vaunted Brooklyn Bridegrooms.

Rogers Hornsby for sure. The guy won back to back triple crowns but not in consective years.

Both Hornsby and Musial may have to step aside some day if Pujols can maintain his current bombardment on baseball.

Most will say Stan the man Musial but I have to go with two time triple crown winner Rogers Hornsby.

Has to be between Stan the Man and Rogers Hornsby with my vote going to Stan Musial. Its hard to compare ballplayers from different eras.

Bob Gibson; they changed the height of the mound cause this guy was so dominant.

But I don't think anyone could argue if you said Stan the man or Hornsby
