Pete Rose - He gambled and betrayed the game of baseball after "SIGNING" an agreement that stated he would never do such a thing. He then lied repeatedly about not doing it. He was later banned from the game of baseball for life.
( Just for those that are still asking, NO! Pete Rose will never enter a foot into the hall of fame so get over it. )

Mark McGwire - He used steroids and illegal substances all but two years of his "ENTIRE" f***ing career which at this point all but a lie and bs, yet you want to see this man in the hall of fame. Why ? Here is the biggest loser, cheater, and coward of them all and he still gets support? WTF? Sorry to hurt your feelings but he's not going into the hall of fame either,
so get over it.

Barry Bonds - He used steroids for 2 to 3 years at the most if that and you label him a cheater and you use him as an excuse to say that steroid is ruining the game. If you want to hate Bonds let it be because he was such and a@@hole to his teammates, baseball, and to fans and not be because you have some hidden racial issues.

Good for you. So many unsuspecting non baseball fans are deceived by what the media says in general. If people took more time and investigated themselves they would see differently. Bonds isn't half the bad guy the media tries to make him be that's for sure.

And for the guy trying to cover for Mark, he did use. He just wasn't man enough to say it. You can't be that naive.

OK, let us break this down in a response the way you listed info.

Pete Rose. Yes, he committed the "ultimate" sin by betting on baseball. It cannot be denied. That is the cardinal rule of baseball and has been since the blacksoxs days. All baseball players know that and it should be accepted, period.

So what do you do with Pete Rose? It was proved that he bet on baseball, while he managed, Therefore, pete Rose, THE MANAGER, should never be allowed into the HOF. On the other hand, as has happened MANY times, they enter ppl into the HOF who did both and make it know that it is for one or the other and NOT both. The HOF itself had ALREADY set a standard of seperating the ball PLAYER from the ball MANAGER. Rose the manager, NO. Rose the Player, YES!!! And while your at it, if you want to defend that HOF because they are not backing down on the "betting on baseball because its the worst thing you can do" then you need to check yourself. the HOF has ADMITTED racists(didnt YOU even make a point for us to keep race out of the B. Bond issue?????), ADMITTED cheaters, CONVICTED rapists AND murderers, CONVICTED child abusers, CONVICTED drug dealers, and a host of other things. The ONLY reason betting on baseball is the only unforgivable sin is beacuse that is about the ONLY thing a player/mamger can do that would directly effect baseball as a whole and TAKE MONEY OUT OF THEIR POCKETS!!! This means simply that they do not care what a player does, even if it would end up hurting YOU or one of your children/family members as long as they are making money. You talked about ppl needing to learn more about baseball before they respond to answers, perhaps you should learn more too!

Mark McGwire. If he DID use and it was PROVED he did, then i agree, he should NOT be in the HOF, period!!! However, if it was nefver proven through tests and/or by him admitting it, then he does belong in the HOF, period. I dont know where you come from, but here in AMERICA we have something called rights. Those rights state that he IS innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty. Now, maybe you think that because you, and many others think he used that this is like communist Germany and you have Hitler's permission to say he shouldnt be allowed to get into the HOF because you just "know" he used Steriods, but it doesnt work that way.

Barry Bonds. This is the EXACT same answer at McQwire. If he did use and it was prove, he doesnt belong in the HOF, period. if he did use and it is proven, he DID cheat, period!!!!! If he didnt admit it and it was never proven, then he does belong in the HOF.

The HOF itself needs to be fixed, as it is a slap in the face to every play who is in the HOF and earned as well as a slap to every fan who supports baseball and pays their bills.

Baseball is "America's pastime" and not "White people's pasttime" yet people like Ty Cobb, who is an admitted racist is in the HOF.

Baseball is supposed to have players that kids and adults alike can look up to, yet people like Orlando Cepeda, who was convicted of possesion with intent to distribute 160 pounds of pot is in the HOF.

Baseball is about competition, and who is the better team and better player, yet people like Gaylord Perry, who admitted to greasing the ball and was so well known for it that he greased two spots so the umps couldnt catch him CHEATING, and he did it his whole carrer, is in the HOF. Ohh, this is the same man who sits as a member of the board for the HOF who says Rose shouldnt be allowed to be in the HOF because he is a lier, cheat, and would make the HOF look bad(can we say POT, KETTLE, BLACK??).

The HOF is supposed to be a place where men of distention and honor are remember for their contributions to baseball, yet guys like Babe Ruth(YES, babe Ruth), who was a womanizer, drunk and even PURCHASED a child illegally(Tell me you wouldnt flip out right now if your heard that some Joe Smo tried to buy a child cause if you say you wouldnt your lieing) IS IN THE HOF!!!!!!!

Are you starting to see a pattern here of what the HOF and its members are about? All they care is what will, and more importantly, what wont make them money. As long as their pockets are lined they will allow anyone in the HOF, deserve it or not, and they will also deny anyone into the HOF, deserve it or not.

I am done!!!!

All 3 belong in the Hall of Fame. As long as guys like Ty Cobb are enshrined in Cooperstown they should be also.

I have to say that a do see a lot of the opposite around here when it comes to Pete and Mark being mentioned.

If the guy wants to voice what he feels is right then let him.

Considering the amount of unfair abuse that Barry Bonds takes on this site you have the right to express your side as well. Good for you dude. Let the truth be told.

Pete Rose is the obvious choice. Because he never cheated. He only cheated himself by betting on baseball.

There is NO proof Bonds ever did steroids or cheated in anyway in baseball. He is not an ****** to his teammates or to his fans!! All of his teammates love him as do his fans, and yes the only ones who hate him are the racist haters!!

Giambi's apology would have been a lot more meaningful if he had clarified exactly what it was he was apologizing for. He never did specify.

"I'm sorry for, um, something" isn't all that manly, really.
