Doesn't it seem that NASCAR would rather a driver win based on his pit strategy rather than his racing ability? They must because the keep tampering with and reducing the size of the fuel cells to disrupt a regular racing pattern. In the past, the drivers would go out and prove who was the best by racing, with a little strategy here and there. Now, they go and race a little, with strategy being the determining factor of who wins. It is happening more and more. Is that what NASCAR wants? Strategy over skill? Your thoughts and opinions.

Is Montoya the dirtiest driver in NASCAR? How many guys did he piss off yesterday? Lets see, he spun out Kurt Busch, he almost wrecked Johnson, ran into the side of Jamie Mcmurray a couple times... Can anyone add to this list??? I'm sure there was more...

I really have to wonder how so many Nascar fans can be so unknowlegeable about racing outside of Stocks. Some loser is suggesting it was a fixed race because montoya won.

It was as clear as day to me that once he got the set up right he was going to dominate. He is one of the best drivers in the world and hardly any NASCAR fans acknowlege that. Look at it this way he must be talented to get into a sport(F1) where only 22 drivers have race seats(all permanent, none wimp out for particular tracks) and there are way way more drivers trying to get into it as opposed to a few southern state americans trying to get into 60-70 available seats in Stock cars.

I just dont understand how anyone can be shocked that montoya won and if he qualified where he should have(top 5) im sure he would have ran away with the win by a long way. So the question is how do people who call themselves race fans know so little about racing?

Montoya won yesterday in CALIFORNIA in a NASCAR race where he wasn;t even one of the favorites. Does anyone think the race was fixed? I think it was. He waon in California in front of a large group of Hispanics. Is NASCAR trying to develop a whole new audience?

I would like to get opinions about what NASCAR should do to the 24 & 48 teams for their car violations. Docking them 100 points and giving them a $100k fine seems pretty light to me and apparently hasn't kept them from cheating. I say a 300 point deduction, both drivers suspended 2 races, and the crew chiefs be supended for 10 races. What are your thoughts?

We will all know on Tuesday when NASCAR makes the ruling.

Will the cot and the favoritism that WILL CONTINUE IN TIME THIS YEAR, cause fans to turn them off? and will the IRL have a resurgence in popularity because of the free coverage. I really enjoyed the split screen today. I don't have cable or sat, so I watched IRL in Iowa. what do you think?

Long story short, I met the girl pictured as my avater today at Infineon Raceway and somehow due to a miscommunication or poor timing, I was unable to track her down (pardon the pun) during the race. If you do want to read the story (either romantic or psycho depending on your opinion), please goto my 360 page. The link is provided if you click on my screen name. Then, read the blog about the race today!

I know this is a huge longshot, but I'm giving it a whirl - *fingers crossed*

contend for the win today if the fuel milage stratagey had played out. Am I right? And also, who else was shocked when Dale Jr. took second today about half way through the race? I know he qualified third, but when Dale Jr qualifies well, its normal for him to slip back a little. But today he held his own. Yeah..didn't get the results though..but 13th is good.

Who denies that Gordon is the man now!!! Same with Montoya. From 32nd to victory lane!! As I've said before, the day Junior wins on a road course is the day I credit him as being a good driver. Today Montoya proved he's a better driver than Junior. Gordon has proved that numerous times over.

I thought it was horrible. They waited about 2 seconds after the finish of the race to go to commercial, and then never showed the final finishing order. That was by far some of the worst coverage I have seen. I guess they thought we would be happy knowing only the top two finishers.

This is absolutely pathetic!!!!!!!! I missed the first half of the race but all I am seeing right now is about 3-4 minutes of racing with a **** load of commercials. I might as well try and watching the last 10 minutes of the race or watch highlights instead of wasting a sunday watching commercials.
