Though I don't think JPM, I don't think he should be deported, and I could care less where he comes from; he still does not have my respect. So he won a road course race; he has spent more then 90% of his career road course racing; what was he suppose to do lose?
I follow F1 and I didn't like JPM back then. He kept running Schumie over because he couldn't beat him out right. He was a "Wrecker" in F1; he's a "Wrecker" here in NASCAR. One road course win is not enough for me to respect him.
When he can get through several races clean and win at a speedway, superspeeway, or short track; then I might give him a bit of nod; but until then he is just the same no good "Wrecker" in knew back in F1.

It's funny to hear people piss and whine about JPM being an arrogant a ss and such. Why dont you go through the history of NASCAR and make a list of all the arrogant asses that have graced the ciruit. To many to list. I would suspect that this would be different if came from a tocacco growing southern state and was one of the good 'ol boys. Then he would be a tough competitor, but being from Columbia unfortunately some people out there will hate just because of that.

The only reason the fairy won was because of the smaller fuel cells that turned the race into a fuel-milage race.........Robby Gordon has to feel robbed again, and there were 7-12 other cars that were better than Juan Rico Roberto Alberto Pablo Paco Montoya..............He will never win on an oval, and I would stay away from Kurt Busch next week if I were him.......

This ****** said before today's race that no one on the track has more passion than him, hmmmm, ok. He knocks people around on the track and its only a matter of time before it starts coming back to him. The only reason he gets any publicity is because he is spanish and different from every other driver, NASCAR's way of trying to expand the sport. Today was his first lap led of the season and he won because he took a chance just like Casey Mears did a few weeks ago. If your a Montoya fan just be glad you got a gift from the gas gods today and be ready to shut up again because it will be back to reality next week.

I don't hate Montoya, but i don't think he is a good driver. How many wrecks has he already caused. He got outraced by McMurray the only reason he passed him was cuz McMurray would stutter coming up the hill. He got a gas milage win today, no skill. Did u see him comtinually lock it up in turn 11.

I don't hate him (I don't hate any racer), but I don't like him, either. He wrecks a lot of drivers. I figured that he'd finish at or near the top, since (to me) the road races are similar to what he used to race on in F-1. But just because he won doesn't mean I'm going to like him now.

If your suggsting by winning a race the people who dislike him should suddenly like him, then you must be the president of Juans la-la land fan club.Under that logic Jeff gordon would be the most popular driver ever.

I can't stand him after what he did to Scott Pruett in Mexico a few months ago. Honestly, I disliked him before that.
