I am asking this question, because I thought about it. It must be a privilege to become a queen. Have the honor.. You still have royal treatment as a princess and the teachings of how to become a sucessful queen? Knowing you might not be a queen. Does this matter or low self esteem to the princesses that do not become a queen? Just a thought.

I think they should go to ordinary people, but 'stars' who are going about doing their jobs and getting paid very well. What about the people who do things for the good of mankind rather than themselves. I am surprised Blair didn't award a few more of his buddies - then he could have more 'freebie' holidays

I'm working on a story and I was wondering a few things about hierarchy:

When a brother of a king marries, does he still live in the palace with hsi older brother, but with his new wife? What about a Kings sister?(I assume he prolly goes with her husband somewhere else)

Who makes up the "royal court"? Not in current day now, but way back then. Did the royal court consist of relatives of the king/queen, friends, or where they the administrative workers of the queen? Did the royal court live in the palace as well?

Who is below a king? If its the Queen, who is 'below' her? What is the rank? I've heard of barons, knights, princes, dukes/duchesses, lords etc. - but where do they fit on the hierarchy ranking? Where do the cousins of the king and queen fit?

Thanks For your help!!!

I just don't get the Royal Family, I know that it has something to do your history, they always look like they have sucked on a lemom before they apear before the pubic, other than Princess Dianna. They seem to be an outdated fairytale. Please I mean no disrespect, I just don't get it.
