The English and Scots crowns were united in the person of a single monarch in 1603 when James VI of Scots acceded to the throne of England. The kingdoms themselves were joined in the Acts of Union 1707, to form Great Britain.
So the last Queen of England was:
Anne (February 6, 1665 – August 1, 1714) became Queen of England on March 8, 1702. On May 1, 1707, when England and Scotland combined into a single kingdom, Anne became the first sovereign of the Kingdom of Great Britain. She continued to reign until her death. Anne was the last monarch of the House of Stuart; she was succeeded by a second-cousin, George I, of the House of Hanover.
The current monarch of England is Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor; born 21 April 1926, is Queen of sixteen sovereign states, holding each crown and title equally.
Apart from the United Kingdom, Elizabeth II is also Queen of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, and Saint Kitts and Nevis, where she is represented by Governors-General. The sixteen countries of which she is Queen are known as Commonwealth Realms, and their combined population is 128 million.
She is presently the world's only monarch who is simultaneously Head of State of more than one independent nation. In legal theory she is the most powerful head of state in the world, although in practice she personally exercises very little political executive power.

Queen Elizabeth II, at birth she was called Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary of York. If you mean does anyone really know her as a person, I would say her personal servants probably know her better than anyone else. After that I would say her closest family members. Hope that helps.

quite obviously the queen of england is Freddie Mercury (no he has not died!) , there was loads of protest, they thought they should retain the title soley for women, but he was insistant. Well, it all happened last night when we were watching newyear so that's why the news coverage isn't great. Now everybody go tell your family and friends about the new queen, and if you don't believe me type in queen on google. tis true mee heartie
